Sometimes in life a night comes when everything has been going along with your routine, and then suddenly a voice starts speaking from within: what would happen if you did something different today?
The question that arises is why such thoughts come into our minds. As far as I can tell, these thoughts occur because our same old problem—the same recurring thoughts—keep hammering the same point over and over in our minds: “What if that happens? What if it happens? What will happen if I do this? What will happen then?” …what will happen if I do that? All these things become part of our routine fatigue. As soon as we fall asleep, our mind keeps repeating them over and over, and we start having strange thoughts in our sleep.
Along with that, our heart and our mind are locked in a strange battle where our mind wants to go to a peaceful side and our heart wants to follow our desires, which creates a strange fear, and in that our situation is… It comes down to making a decision: what should we do now? We've never felt this way before.
Now what happens is that the path doesn't seem safe to us. The biggest fear we have is what people will think: “What if I fail? What if I succeed?” We can't fully let go of those thoughts, but that very struggle is the path to growth that makes it hard for us to get started. is the biggest fear that's holding us back.
We're faced with new experiences we've never seen before, about which we've never expected how we'll struggle against or for them. We don't even have clarity for ourselves. What mistakes will we make in learning? We haven't learned from every mistake. A person improves themselves. What does it take to understand? We haven't learned everything, so all these fears keep repeating the same thing over and over inside us. I work…
In the end, I'll just say this: every night a new battle rages in our hearts and minds, and in it we're filled with countless questions—which path to take, which one will benefit us, which road will lead to success, whether we'll end up failing if… …that if we fail, what will people say? That fear really holds us back. It's just that we don't have the courage to take that step. If we could find the courage to believe in ourselves—to say “I can do it”—then we would succeed, and it's always those who say… “We don't know whether we can or can't, so always count yourself among those who think, ‘I can.’”
