Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is from Midnight Letters, which says:What makes the night different from the day for you? So let's dive in.
Honestly, for me, the difference between the day and night is not just about light and darkness. Yes, we all know that day is light and night is darkness, but it is more about the feeling each one brings every day.
The day is always too busy. From morning, everything just starts moving fast. People are already going out to their workplaces, students are rushing to school, cars are on the road making noise, and everyone is trying to meet up with one thing or another. To me, it feels like the day comes with a lot of pressure, whether we like it or not. Even when we want to rest, the noise and activities around us make it difficult to sleep. The day comes with a lot of responsibilities, and sometimes it can be very stressful.
But the night feels completely different. Once it's evening, everywhere starts getting quiet. The noise reduces, and everywhere is calmer. That peaceful feeling is what I really love and enjoy about the night.
Another thing I notice is that my mind works better at night. Not that my mind doesn’t work during the day, but you know that feeling when you notice something different in your body. During the day, I'm always thinking and trying to make things work out. But at night, my thoughts are more settled. I get to think deeply, and sometimes I reflect on what I did during the day. Because there are no distractions. Nobody to distract me, just me and my thoughts.
The night also gives me this kind of peace, joy, and comfort. You know that feeling of lying down on your bed after a long, busy day, feeling the breeze blowing, especially when it has rained during the day. The cold weather and breeze make your body feel more relaxed.
I also feel less pressure at night. During the day, it can feel like people are expecting a lot from me. But at night, it's just me, no one else. I don’t have to impress anyone. I can just be myself, no faking, just my pure and real selves.
At the same time, I won’t deny that night sometimes make me feel lonely. It can bring thoughts, some negative ones, that don’t usually come during the day.
In conclusion, for me, what really makes the night different is the peace it brings. While the day is full of noise and responsibilities, the night feels like a break from all the stress and noise. It is a time to rest, think, and just be on our own without pressure.
This is my entry for the Midnight Letters Prompt #24.
