Hello #midnight lovers!❤️🩹 Been a while since i did the owl’s job, living night like the day. Ive been able to turn down some of my mind volume so i can sleep a little at night but you know once youre a #midnight lover its hard to trade the night productivity for sleep so staying awwke becomes fun, could even trigger memories and just like tonight, midnight has a strange way of bringing memories back.
A lot of things happen during midnight but tonight I found myself thinking about a movie many of us have seen before, the famous Titanic.
Well, we all know the story or almost everyone does… a massive ship, with the beautiful passengers, sweet moments that ended in a tragic historical disaster. A lot happened and the disaster wasnt the hardest but theres’s a part that many of us can never forget.
The iceberg or the sinking ship was not as painful to us like the story of Jack Dawson. I’m not even beibg sentimental but i love Jack! He was not rich, powerful or famous. He was just a young man who loved life in a very simple way i never saw a scene where he was provocative, Jack laughed easily and he saw beauty in ordinary things, thats someone like me. I appreciate the tiny dots on a cockroach’s leg even if im gonna kill it lol.
Well things happened somehow, and fate helped my poor artsist boy to win a ticket into the Titanic ship where he met with Rose. Maybe he wouldnt have died if he didnt meet Rose?
It was so beautiful to watch how he quickly blended with Rose, the upper class woman being controlled by her rich husband but still she was able to connect with Jack. After some time there was a serious chaos, the ship hit an iceberg! So it started sinking, watching it then the fear already gripped my heart such that i couldnt move but tears ran down when i saw Jack slowly dissapears into the freezing river, dying 🥹while the movie continues slowly and Rose lets go of his hand. I felt really bad even tho it was fiction, why would he suffer all his life and finally die just when he found love?
Their relationship did not even have years to grow it just happened quickly and very intensely.
In the chaos of survival when people were running, screaming, choosing who would live and who would not there was busy Jack who never stopped thinking about Rose, there was a scene where they found a floating door in the freezing water and then rose climbed on it while Jack was still in the water beside her. That was how he froze until death 😭out of selflessness, that guy is the greatest hero to me in the Fiction realm.
I don’t think i’ll ever get over it.

This is my response to the #midnightletters prompt: What is the death of a fictional character you still can't get over?
Thank you for reading!
