Nothing like a good children's party to cheer up a week that was full of sadness.
Yesterday we had the opportunity to attend the birthday party of one of my little one's schoolmates, and although I had very little desire to attend, it ended up being just what I needed to forget a bit about all the bad things that happened this week. It was a pretty complete party, in fact, I think it's one of the most detailed (and invested) children's birthday parties I've ever seen.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with ice cream, which served to keep us entertained while the food arrived. When the food finally arrived it was a surprise how delicious it was, normally at children's parties the food doesn't stand out too much, but here it was a marvel, there were a children's menu and an adult menu, and both dishes were truly delicious.
Moments after the meal, an entertainment group arrived with a mini-show of Toy Story and with games and activities not only for children, but also for the adults. They were also in charge of organising the piñata time and the cake breaking. It was amazing to see how even the adults didn't miss the opportunity to take a picture with Buzz, Woody and Jessie, I guess we never stop being kids.
In the end, we went home very happy, with bags full of sweets and a big smile on our faces.
Un cumpleaños a la "Toy Story"
Nada como una buena fiesta infantil para animar una semana que estuvo llena de tristeza.
Ayer tuvimos la oportunidad de asistir a la fiesta de cumpleaños de uno de los compañeros de escuela de mi pequeño y aunque tenía muy pocas ganas de asistir, terminó siendo justo lo que necesitaba para olvidarme un poco de todo lo malo que pasó esta semana. Fue una fiesta bastante completa, de hecho, creo que es uno de los cumpleaños infantiles con más detalles (e inversión) que he visto.
Al llegar, nos recibieron con helados, los cuales sirvieron para entretenernos mientras llegaba la comida. Cuando esta por fin llegó fue una sorpresa lo deliciosa que estaba, normalmente en las fiestas infantiles la comida no destaca demasiado, pero acá fue una maravilla, hubo un menú infantil y uno para adultos, y ambos platillos estaban verdaderamente deliciosos.
Momentos después de la comida llegó un grupo de animación con un mini-show de Toy Story y con juegos y actividades no solo para niños, sino también para los adultos. Ellos también estuvieron a cargo de organizar el momento de la piñata y de la partida del pastel. Fue increíble ver como hasta los adultos no perdieron la oportunidad de tomarse una foto con Buzz, Woody y Jessie, supongo que en el fondo nunca dejamos de ser niños.
Al final nos fuimos a casa muy contentos, con las bolsas llenas de dulces y con una gran sonrisa en el rostro.
