Hello, hello, my dear friends. I hope you are all well, healthy and enjoying the preparations for Christmas. There are only a few days left and the joy and enthusiasm to share with the family is growing more and more.
Today I want to tell you a little about a Colombian tradition that I learned about in December of last year and that I loved for the meaning it has, because it is a way to express the joy of sharing in this beautiful time and also to express good wishes and affection.
Last year I noticed this tradition. Since December 15, I saw that many people went with wrapped gifts containing various products. This reminded me of the Christmas baskets that were prepared in my country, especially for raffles.
When I asked what they were about, I was told that they were the anchettes that companies gave to their employees as a way of thanking them for a good year of productivity.
I was very happy to learn about this and thought it was a beautiful gesture of gratitude and generosity.
Hola, hola, mis queridos amigos. Espero que todos estén muy bien, con salud y disfrutando de los preparativos para Navidad. Ya faltan pocos días y la alegría y el entusiasmo de compartir en familia crecen cada vez más.
Hoy quiero contarles un poco acerca de una tradición colombiana que conocí en diciembre del año pasado y que me encantó por el significado que tiene, pues es una forma de expresar la alegría de compartir en esta época tan bonita y, además, de expresar buenos deseos y afecto.
El año pasado pude percatarme de esta tradición. Desde el 15 de diciembre vi que mucha gente iba con regalos envueltos que contenían varios productos. Esto me hizo recordar las cestas navideñas que en mi país se preparaban, sobre todo, para hacer rifas.
Cuando pregunté de qué se trataba, me contaron que eran las anchetas que las empresas les obsequiaban a sus empleados como una forma de agradecimiento por un buen año de productividad.
Me alegró mucho saber esto y me pareció un gesto hermoso de gratitud y generosidad.
According to the definition of the RAE, an ancheta is: " f. Col. Basket with food products that is given as a gift at Christmas."See So, anchetas are a tradition this Christmas season in Colombia.
Another thing I learned from this Colombian tradition is that anchetas can be given in baskets or containers and that they are sold in supermarkets and other businesses with the idea that anyone can give them as gifts to family and friends. It seems to me a good gift option.
The anchetas usually contain seasonal products, including: candies, chocolates, custards, drinks, dried fruits and nuts, gourmet products and much more.
Según la definición de la RAE, una ancheta es: " f. Col. Canasta con productos alimenticios que se regala en Navidad."Ver Así pues, las anchetas son una tradición en esta época navideña en Colombia.
Otra cosa que aprendí de esta tradición colombiana es que las anchetas se pueden regalar en cestas o en contenedores y que las venden en supermercados y otros negocios con la idea de que cualquier persona puede obsequiarlas a familiares y amigos. Me parece una buena opción de regalo.
Las anchetas suelen contener productos propios de la temporada, entre ellos: dulces, chocolates, natillas, bebidas, frutos secos, productos gourmet y mucho más.
Now, I tell you that this year, my husband and I had the privilege of receiving a very special gift from our daughter and her husband, a beautiful surprise!
As I have already shared on several occasions, we are in charge of their business and we do it with dedication and love. For us, this venture is more than a responsibility, we take care of it like a precious treasure, which has been seen in the reports from the Secretary of Health, for example, and in the recommendation that customers make of our service.
Throughout the time we have been in charge, we have had many gratifying experiences and, best of all, we have made good friends.
Ahora bien, les cuento que este año, mi esposo y yo, tuvimos el privilegio de recibir una ancheta muy especial de parte de nuestra hija y su esposo. ¡Una hermosa sorpresa!
Como ya he compartido en varias ocasiones, nosotros estamos a cargo de su negocio y lo hacemos con dedicación y amor. Para nosotros, este emprendimiento es más que una responsabilidad, lo cuidamos como a un preciado tesoro, lo cual se ha visto en los informes de la Secretaría de Sanidad, por ejemplo, y en la recomendación que los clientes hacen de nuestro servicio.
A lo largo del tiempo que llevamos encargados, hemos vivido numerosas experiencias gratificantes y, lo mejor, es que hemos hecho buenas amistades.
Our ancheta is very special because it was carefully selected and prepared by our loved ones with products that my husband and I like. In addition, they accompanied it with an emotional message, expressing gratitude for our efforts and dedication to carry out our business, taking into account that for us it is a new and different life experience than what we were used to doing.
Nuestra ancheta es muy especial porque fue cuidadosamente seleccionada y preparada por nuestros seres queridos con productos que nos gustan a mi esposo y a mí. Además, la acompañaron con un emotivo mensaje, expresando gratitud por nuestros esfuerzos y por la dedicación para sacar adelante nuestro negocio, tomando en cuenta que para nosotros es una experiencia de vida nueva y diferente a la que estábamos acostumbrados a hacer.
I'll share with you what our ancheta contains. First, I loved the container where the products come, because a container like this is always needed at home.
This is a Ancheta fantasía with a white Lambrusco wine, sliced mushrooms, Penne Rigate pasta, peeled tomatoes, roasted rosemary sticks, pesto sauce that I love, Vienna sausages, peanuts with raisins, coconut granola, skim milk, coffee that can't be missed, vanilla Christmas cookies, fresh chicha that my husband likes a lot and tuna. Products that we love and that we are going to enjoy as a family.
This ancheta that we received is not only a material gift, but a symbol of love, gratitude and recognition that we value very much.
Here we are still grateful and satisfied with everything we are living in this new stage of our lives and we continue united, walking the paths of the business world.
Les comparto lo que contiene nuestra ancheta. Primero, me encantó el contenedor donde vienen los productos, pues un recipiente como este siempre hace falta en casa.
Esta es una Ancheta fantasía con un vino Lambrusco blanco, champiñones en tajadas, pasta Penne Rigate, tomates pelados, palitos de romero tostados, salsa pesto que amo, salchichas Viena, maní con pasas, granola de coco, leche descremada, café que no puede faltar, galletas navideñas de vainilla, fresca chicha que a mi esposo le gusta mucho y atún. Productos que nos encantan y que vamos a disfrutar en familia.
Esta ancheta que recibimos no solo es un regalo material, sino un símbolo de amor, de gratitud y reconocimiento que valoramos mucho.
Aquí seguimos agradecidos y satisfechos con todo lo que estamos viviendo en esta nueva etapa de nuestras vidas y seguimos unidos, transitando los caminos del mundo empresarial.
