This time, I bring you content about home. Our special little corner where we take shelter, where we live wonderful moments, to which we give a lot of love, and that reflects our personality in every detail that we add for our pleasure and comfort.
Los que me siguen desde hace un tiempo saben que me he venido a vivir a Bogotá, soy un número más de los tantos que emigramos del país, buscando calidad de vida y nuevas oportunidades.
Pues, ya aquí, mi esposo y yo vivimos un mes en un Airbnb, mientras terminaban un apartoestudio en el mismo edificio en el que vive mi hija. Un apartamentico para dos, justo lo que necesitábamos y queríamos para estar cómodos. Nuestra casa grande está en Cumaná, cuidada por mi familia para cuando vayamos a nuestro terruño amado.
Llegamos al apartoestudio para estrenarlo. Todo está nuevo aquí, así que yo he estado amueblando, con un estilo minimalista, fresco y luminoso, mi nuevo nidito. En otra ocasión, les contaré de cómo he ido organizando los espacios y les compartiré fotitos.
Uno de los espacios que he ido acondicionando es el de la cocina. Para mí, es de los más especiales porque en él alimentamos el cuerpo y el alma con las reuniones y conversas que se dan en él. Poco a poco, he adquirido lo que necesito para que funcione perfectamente: cocina, nevera, y otros artefactos importantes.
Those who have been following me for some time know that I have come to live in Bogota, I am one more of the many who emigrated from the country, looking for quality of life and new opportunities.
Well, already here, my husband and I lived for a month in an Airbnb, while they finished a studio apartment in the same building where my daughter lives. An apartment for two, just what we needed and wanted to be comfortable. Our big house is in Cumana, taken care of by my family for when we go to our beloved homeland.
We arrived at the studio apartment for the first time. Everything is new here, so I have been furnishing, with a minimalist, fresh and luminous style, my new nest. Another time, I will tell you how I have been organizing the spaces and I will share some pictures.
One of the spaces that I have been preparing is the kitchen. For me, it is one of the most special because it is where we feed our body and soul with the meetings and conversations that take place there. Little by little, I have acquired what I need to make it work perfectly: stove, refrigerator, and other important appliances.
En la cocina, además de los electrodomésticos, es muy importante tener a mano lo que necesitamos para ponerle color y sabor a nuestras comidas. Para esto, las especias no deben faltar. Así que tenía un montón de bolsitas de especias sueltas en uno de los gabinetes que ya quería organizar.
En la búsqueda de opciones para hacer mi set de especias, encontré en una tienda muy famosa aquí en Bogotá, donde venden de todo y a buenos precios, unos frascos para especias que iban perfectamente con lo que yo quería. Pues, viendo tendencias en Pinterest, había muchas ideas con unos iguales, a los que se le podían añadir etiquetas para identificar el contenido.
Este proyecto para organizar mis especias estuvo suspendido por un tiempito. Primero porque quería diseñar unas etiquetas con la ayuda de mi hija, y luego porque, por razones personales, no tenía cabeza para dedicarle atención a mi proyecto.
In the kitchen, in addition to the appliances, it is very important to have at hand what we need to add color and flavor to our meals. For this, spices should not be missing. So I had a bunch of little bags of spices loose in one of the cabinets that I already wanted to organize.
In the search for options to make my spice set, I found in a very famous store here in Bogota, where they sell everything and at good prices, some spice jars that went perfectly with what I wanted. Well, looking at trends on Pinterest, there were many ideas with the same ones, to which you could add labels to identify the contents.
This project to organize my spices was on hold for a while. First because I wanted to design some labels with the help of my daughter, and then because, for personal reasons, I had no head to devote attention to my project.
Ahora, ya en calma y con mucha ilusión, retomé mi proyecto. Además, porque el fin de semana pasado, visitando la tienda Casaideas, una tienda bellísima de cosas del hogar, encontré, sin buscarlas mucho, las etiquetas que quería ya listas, las ideales para identificar mis frasquitos de especias.
Así, les comparto en mi publicación de hoy, el paso a paso de la organización de mi set de especias y de cómo quedó finalmente, aunque todavía quiero algo más. Y es que me gustaría intervenir la base de madera en la que los puse con alguna técnica para madera, pero eso lo pensaré bien y lo haré luego.
Now, calmly and with great enthusiasm, I have resumed my project. Also, because last weekend, visiting the store Casaideas, a beautiful home store, I found, without looking for them much, the labels I wanted ready, the ideal ones to identify my spice jars.
So, I share with you in today's post, the step by step of the organization of my spice set and how it finally turned out, although I still want something more. And I would like to intervene the wooden base where I put them with some technique for wood, but I will think about it and I will do it later.
Este set de tres frascos para especias lo compré en la tienda DollarCity que les comenté que vende de todo y a buenos precios. Cada paquete trae tres frascos y cuesta 5.000 pesos, los que equivalen a un poco más de un dólar. Ya he comprado cinco paquetes porque tengo pendiente comprar otras especias para completar lo que necesito en mi cocina a la hora de preparar las comidas.
I bought this set of three spice jars at the store DollarCity that I told you about, which sells everything and at good prices. Each package has three jars and costs 5,000 pesos, which is equivalent to a little more than a dollar. I have already bought five packages because I have to buy other spices to complete what I need in my kitchen when preparing meals.
Destapé el paquete y saqué los frascos. Los limpié muy bien para después echar la bolsita de especias correspondiente en cada uno.
I uncapped the package and took out the jars. I cleaned them very well and then put the corresponding spice sachet in each one.
Arriba, les muestro la foto de una de las hojas del paquete de etiquetas con el diseño y el nombre de cada especia, trae cuatro hojas así. También, trae unas hojas más, sin nombres como para escribirlos a mano, en caso de necesitar más etiquetas con nombres diferentes.

Fui echando cada especia en los frasquitos y pegando de una vez la etiqueta con la identificación. Me encanta el diseño y cómo se ve en los frasquitos.
I was pouring each spice into the jars and sticking the label with the identification at once. I love the design and how it looks on the jars.
That's how they turned out! What do you think? I loved the result. I put them on the wooden base that I bought and that I want to paint or apply some technique like decoupage to decorate my spice set, but I will do that later, when I find an idea that I like.
