Caminar por la ciudad de Buenos Aires Argentina, en otoño, ha sido una experiencia gratificante, se deleitan mis ojos cuando observo las hojas caer como una cascada para vestir las calles de hojas amarillas, los árboles han ido quedado desnudos y aun así, conservan su belleza. El barrio Palermo (zona turística), ofrece gran variedad de restaurantes, cafés, teatros, tiendas, así como: ferreterías, farmacias, supermercados, en fin todo lo que necesite lo hallara por estas calles.
Walking through the city of Buenos Aires Argentina, in autumn, has been a rewarding experience, my eyes are delighted when I watch the leaves fall like a waterfall to dress the streets of yellow leaves, the trees have been left naked and yet, retain their beauty. The Palermo neighborhood (tourist area), offers a great variety of restaurants, cafes, theaters, stores, as well as: hardware stores, pharmacies, supermarkets, in short, everything you need you will find it in these streets.
Este sábado, junto a mi amiga Argelia decidimos salir a pasear por la ciudad (no teníamos un plan definido), pero tomamos la avenida Santa Fe hasta llegar a la plaza Italia, justo allí nos encontrábamos muy cerca del Ecoparque, el cual, aún no había visitado. Este lugar representa uno de los atractivos turísticos y es bastante recomendado, estaba en la lista de pendientes.
This Saturday, together with my friend Argelia we decided to go for a walk around the city (we didn't have a definite plan), but we took Santa Fe avenue until we arrived to Italia square, right there we were very close to the Ecoparque, which I had not visited yet. This place represents one of the tourist attractions and is highly recommended, it was on the to-do list.
Ecoparque es una espacio público de 16,7 hectáreas, se encuentra en la intersection de la avenida Sarmiento y la avenida las Heras, abre sus puerta todos los días (lunes a domingo) desde las 11 a.m a las 6 p.m. Cuando llueve cierra sus puertas. Este parque ofrece actividades para aprender sobre la naturaleza, la conservación de espacios y el medio ambiente; cuenta con áreas verdes, lagos, senderos y atracciones para los niños.
****Ecoparque*** is a public space of 16.7 hectares, located at the intersection of Sarmiento Avenue and Las Heras Avenue, it opens its doors every day (Monday to Sunday) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It closes when it rains. This park offers activities to learn about nature, conservation and the environment; it has green areas, lakes, trails and attractions for children.*
Cuenta con variadas especies de animales:
mamíferos: carpinchos, tapir, guanaco, corzuela, mara, Campo.
Aves: ñandú, flamenco austral, chaja, gavilán mixto, cardinal común, picaflor verde, cóndor andino, picabuey.
Reptiles: lagarto overo, Tortuga de Laguna.
Mariposas: gran variedad.
El área de los elefantes está vacía, la última elefanta (Pupy) que hizo vida por 30 años en este recinto fue trasladada a un santuario en Brasil. Las dimensiones de los edificios que resguardan a los animales es de grandes dimensiones, el que mas llamo mi atención fue de las jirafas: Bady (16 años) y Ciro(6 años) que son padre e hijo.
It has a variety of animal species:
mammals: capybaras, tapir, guanaco, corzuela, mara, Campo.
Birds: rhea, southern flamingo, chaja, mixed hawk, common cardinal, green hummingbird, Andean condor, picabuey.
Reptiles: lizard overo, lagoon turtle.
Butterflies: great variety.
The elephant area is empty, the last elephant (Pupy) that lived for 30 years in this enclosure was transferred to a sanctuary in Brazil. The size of the buildings that protect the animals is large, the one that caught my attention was the giraffes: Bady (16 years old) and Ciro (6 years old) who are father and son.
Recorrimos la mayor parte de este increíble santuario en aproximadamente 2 horas, pero llego la hora de cierre y faltaron algunas especies. Haber podido conectar con este espacio, observar el cuidado y resguardo de las diferente especies que hacen vida allí ha sido una experiencia verdaderamente conmovedora. La cultura de este país vela por la conservación, protección y progreso de la naturaleza y animales. Nos vamos con el corazón lleno y la firme convicción de que cada vida merece respeto y un lugar seguro.
We toured most of this incredible sanctuary in about 2 hours, but it was closing time and some species were missing. Being able to connect with this space, observe the care and protection of the different species that live there has been a truly moving experience. The culture of this country watches over the conservation, protection and progress of nature and animals. We leave with a full heart and the firm conviction that every life deserves respect and a safe place.
