During the last week of April, we went to the beach as part of the celebration week of my mom's birthday. In case you're wondering why a week, it's simple! She has an error on her Birth Certificate. So she was born on April 22nd, but the paper says 29th. This was never corrected since it meant lots of money and other things, thus she celebrates her birthday for a week which is exactly the amount of time between dates.
We decided to stay for a while at Las Maritas, a beach in Mochima's Bay National Park. As you can see, the waters are calm and beautiful. It's a great place for children since it's not a particularly deep beach. It's also great for anyone who can't swim since its waves are not strong.
It has good spots for swimming and you won't be bothered too much as many people just go to Playa Blanca that is a bit farther from the bay.
However, bring your own food as that can be quite pricey at the place. Take into consideration that you can buy a box of fish for up to 25$. And boxes are a measure of around 10 - 12 Kg of fish. A plate with fish, salad, fried plantain and other things goes around the same price. The same goes for the plate of squid and shrimp you can see in the photos.
Putting that aside, you can spend the best of time here with some cold bears while you tan a bit and take a dip into the cold waters to escape from the heat of the coast.
Have I also added you can pay the boat with HBD? We didn't take that service, but there's an actual tour and other services that can be paid with our stable coin.
