Hello everyone in this amazing lifestyle community. Today I am here to share with you my experience visiting one of the headquarters of the largest textile center in Venezuela: El Castillo. I have already made several trips there to buy fabrics, but this occasion is special because I want to share with you my perspective as an entrepreneur and show you the material with which I work the most: microdurano fabric. I moved to El Tigre, a neighboring city where this store is located, with the aim of acquiring merchandise for my business. It was an interesting day full of learning, and I am excited to tell you all the details, from how I choose the materials to how they become part of my creations.
When I arrived, something that caught my attention was the themed decoration they did for the February 14 holiday. They placed curtains with colors alluding to the date, creating a very cozy atmosphere. From what I could tell, it seems that they usually decorate the place on each holiday, which gives a special touch to the shopping experience. Although at El Castillo there is a great variety of fabrics (and believe me, when I say variety, I'm talking about a lot of fabric), this time I went with the intention of buying only microdurano. Because? Because it is one of the most versatile fabrics for making clothing. Its texture, durability and ease of handling make it my preferred choice for my creations.
When I approached the microdurasno section, I was faced with a wide variety of options. Since I was going to buy for my business, I purchased fabric by several meters. In addition, there are tables where they offer fabrics at lower prices, which is a great advantage. Honestly, I think it's excellent to be able to buy at a low cost without sacrificing quality. I also took the opportunity to buy some threads that I was missing and a meter to measure, since mine broke. In addition, I purchased elastic tape, since I am thinking of getting into making underwear.
Every time I go to this store, I feel great seeing so many things that I am passionate about, like sewing. The truth is, one goes crazy here seeing all kinds of fabrics and sewing materials. It is, without a doubt, one of my favorite stores.
For me, El Castillo is not just a place to buy materials, it is a space where I find inspiration and motivation to continue growing as an entrepreneur. Each visit is an opportunity to learn, experiment and, above all, enjoy what I like most: sewing. I hope that, with this story, you can feel a little of the emotion that I experience every time I step foot in this place. Thank you for joining me on this journey and for being part of my story as an entrepreneur. See you on the next adventure!
