Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community! Today I’m joining you here to share a new chapter in my life. This post is quite special because I’m going to show you a very important moment from the drawing workshop I I lead. A few months ago, i mentioned that the children had been working on a pictorial portrait inspired by a specific artist—for example, Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. They had successfully completed this project. However, we didn’t have a space to display their work… until we were finally able to set a date, which was in March 27, in celebration of Theater Day. I think the images speak for themselves, so I really hope you enjoy each of the works you see here in the photos.
The event was scheduled for nine o’clock, when I needed to have all the students practically ready for the setup. Although our presentation wouldn’t start until 10. As the kids began to arrive, everything started to come to life. It was truly exciting to see each of them dressed up and embodying the man or woman they had recreated from their original works. Everyone really looked great in their costumes and with their artwork. And as you can see, there are also big differences from one hour to the next, since each student chose the work they liked best—some are from the Baroque period, others are Expressionist, others contemporary, and so on. You have no idea how much effort went into these projects, since they’d been working on them for several weeks, so this was a moment the whole group had been waiting to see come to life.
Each of them had their moment to present their work. And here I’ll be a bit more critical in noting that they had already been standing for quite some time, holding the same posture, so seeing them put in extra effort despite the fatigue and the heat was something to take into account. Finally, our day culminated as we were able to celebrate Theater Day, as well as the students themselves, who needed and deserved a space to properly showcase their work. I am truly proud of them. I hope that in this third pedagogical moment, we will have an equally wonderful closing.
