Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m joining you here to share a new day in my life. This time, I’m bringing you a new day in the art studio. This Monday, we met with the representatives to go over some points regarding upcoming events planned for March and May. One of them is on March 27th. To celebrate Theater Day, we’ll have an event dedicated to the portraits the children created based on a famous play. This activity is called: Open-Air Museum – Works on the Run. The name refers to the fact that several works of art have escaped from the museum and decided to visit the school.
They spent about a month creating these portraits, so I really value their work and believe they deserve to be recognized with all the respect they deserve. The idea isn’t just to display the portraits; they’ll also dress up as the person in their portrait for that specific day and act as living works of art. It’s going to be a beautiful event, with music and the parents seeing all their work. The truth is, many have been waiting for this moment, and we can finally include it in the school’s schedule, so I’m quite happy about it since that’s something I needed to give the workshop a boost.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle. El día de hoy me uno por acá para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. En esta ocasión les traigo un nuevo día en el salón de arte. Este lunes estuvimos revisando con los representantes algunos puntos a tratar sobre los próximos eventos que se van a tomar en cuenta para el mes de marzo y el mes de mayo. Uno de ellos es el 27 de marzo, con motivo de celebrar el día del teatro, tendremos un evento dedicado a los retratos que realizaron los niños sobre una obra famosa, dicha actividad se llama: Museo al Aire Libre - Obras en fuga. El nombre se refiere a que varias obras de arte se han escapado del museo y han decidido visitar el colegio.
Ellos mismos se dedicaron a hacer un retrato por alrededor de un mes, así que yo valoro mucho su trabajo y creo que merecen que sean tomados en cuenta con todo el respeto que merecen. La idea no es solo mostrar el retrato sino que ellos se van a vestir cómo la persona de dicho retrato para ese día en específico y actuar como obras de artes vivientes. Va a ser un evento muy bello, con música y los papás viendo todo el trabajo de ellos. La verdad muchos han estado esperando este momento y por fin podemos tomarlo en cuenta en la programación del colegio, así que estoy bastante feliz por ello ya que eso es algo que necesitaba para dar fuerza moral al taller.
Another point to discuss is the trip to Ciudad Bolívar, since I’d like us to visit the Jesús Soto Museum of Modern Art, which is located there, and it would be really important for them to see it. It was good to talk with them so we could take into consideration other suggestions and contexts that they sometimes don’t have time to learn about in their daily classroom life. So after we wrote all that down, I continued with the students to carry on with our class as usual. Today I worked on portraits with the first group. We worked on portraiture, proportion, symmetry, and scale in a portrait. With the students in the second group, we focused more on scale. I’m proud of them. We’re returning to drawing to reinforce these concepts and to painting to continue our plan. Without further ado, thank you very much for stopping by.
Otro de los puntos a tratar es sobre el viaje Ciudad Bolívar, ya que deseo que podamos ir al museo de arte modernos Jesús Soto, el cual se encuentra allá y sería realmente importante que lo pudieran conocer ellos. Fue bueno poder hablar con ellas para poder tomar en consideración, también otra sugerencias y contextos que realmente a veces no da tiempo para que ellos puedan conocer sobre el cotidiano vivir en el salón de clase. Así que luego de qué pusimos todo eso al pie de la letra. Continué con los muchachos para trabajar nuestra clase con normalidad. El día de hoy vi con el primer grupo retrato. Trabajamos en retrato, la proporción, simetría y escala en un retrato. Con los chicos del segundo grupo trabajamos más la escala. Estoy orgullosa de ellos.
