Good afternoon to everyone from #lifestyle, almost all of my #hive posts refer to illustrations since that is what I do but I also collect and sell collectible pieces and today I will give you some basic tips on how to buy hotwheels that look like normal but they are good collector's pieces
well, today I will give you a super quick tip that you will understand in a matter of seconds and I will also give a tip that before reselling, if that is what you want to do, investigate what you have, well today I will talk to you about the TREASURE HUNT AND SUPER TREASURE HUNT these They are special hotwheels that they release in each collection (there are lists on the internet with which you can guide yourself regarding their designs) but there is also a quick way to know which model is GOOD
Both the TREASURE HUNT AND THE SUPER TRESURE HUNT have a small circular flame on the blister behind the hotwheel, in the case of the treasure hunt it is silver, sometimes there is an inscription that congratulates you for having found it and sometimes it does not have one, but the circular flame It will always be there, if it is golden, then you won the lottery. It is a SUPER TREASURE HUNT and they can be sold for up to $70 depending on the model, but they are always around $40 to 70$
Also in these models in the paint design of the car there is a circular flame somewhere, sometimes it is easy to see and in others not so much but it is always there or the second option the letters TH also indicating that it is a TREASURE
Now the second tip is to check the cars before offering them for sale, in my case it could be said that I had very good luck since it is a TREASURE HUNT and at the same time it has a factory error, how did I realize this? Well, reviewing, never buy something and want to sell it without knowing exactly what it is, investigate and review before
IN THE FIRST IMAGE OF THE BASE WHICH IS MINE, you will see that it is very different from the following example that I show you (taken from the internet)
As you can see, the bases do not match, both in the position of the codes and hotwheels logo and the small circles that the base has, is it now a mistake? well yes it is and possibly a very rare one
Since they used a base from a 2022 model in a 2024 model, causing a big difference, they used the wrong mold with correct materials from this year, here is an example of the green 2022 model (taken from the internet)
Now what is its value? There are collectors who say that errors do not add value and others who do, in collecting in general errors are a topic of discussion, but if they can be acquired at low prices and then want to sell it, some error collector will always appear and they will pay good prices. but there is no specific price to establish, what is is that if you see a hot wheels with error in tampo, paint, wheels, etc. BUY IT as long as the price is low
Anyway, this is all for today, I wanted to give a small tip on collecting investment and who knows, you may soon get something good that collectors will go crazy to buy from you, I hope I have helped you
