I attended a unique birthday party this weekend at El Retiro Park, with the sun shining, plenty of delicious food to share, and games to keep us entertained. Taking advantage of the increasingly clear, blue skies, we spent a very pleasant afternoon filled with laughter and stories.
We watched the sunset dip behind the park’s hills, and the trees took on a beautiful hue that matched the orange hues painting the sky. I think I should go on picnics more often because of the sense of peace I felt. Then we went to my friend’s house—the birthday girl—who had bought a delicious cake, and there we sang “Happy Birthday” and enjoyed another delicious meal.

Un cumpleaños diferente al que asistí el fin de semana, en el parque El Retiro, con los rayos del sol, mucha comida rica para compartir y juegos para pasar el rato ameno. Aprovechando que el cielo cada vez está más despejado y azul pasamos una tarde muy agradable entre risas y anécdotas.
Vimos el atardecer meterse entre las colinas del parque y los árboles tomaban un color muy bonito que hacía juego con los naranjas que pintaban el cielo. Creo que deberia hacer picnic más seguidos por la tranquilidad que sentí. Luego fuimos a casa de mi amiga la cumpleañera que había comprado una torta deliciosa y allí cantamos el cumpleaños y volvimos a comer muy sabroso.
