Well, first, I have to tell you that when we arrived in Spain, we ended up living in a small town just outside of Madrid called Valdemoro. Since things didn't go as we expected (and the town wasn't suitable for us), we moved to the center of Madrid for better opportunities. That's where the issue of finding a place became complicated, since Madrid (both the city and the province) is very expensive. After searching for a room, we found a room in the Legazpi area, which is in the Arganzuela district.
Bueno inicialmente tengo que decirles que cuando llegamos a España llegamos a vivir en un pequeño pueblo muy a las afueras de Madrid llamado Valdemoro, como no nos fue como esperábamos (y dicho pueblo no era funcional con nosotros) nos mudamos a Madrid centro como tal para mayores oportunidades. Es ahí donde el tema de la habitación se complicó puesto que Madrid (tanto ciudad como provincia) es muy cara. Después de tanto buscar conseguimos una habitación en la zona de Legazpi que es el distrito de Arganzuela.
At first, it was a tough change. We were already on our own and had decided to move forward on our own, even though we didn't receive any other support from anyone. Legazpi was our place of lodging, housing, and work during the fall and winter, but living with the hunt was already very uncomfortable, and we had many problems. So, in our desire to progress and to keep my promise that it was temporary, we moved.
Al principio fue un cambio fuerte, ya estábamos por nuestra cuenta y habíamos decidido salir adelante nosotros solos a pesar de que no recibimos más apoyo de nadie. Legazpi fue nuestro sitio de hospedaje, vivienda y de trabajo durante este otoño e invierno pero la convivencia con la cacera ya era muy incómoda y tuvimos muchos problemas así que en nuestro deseo de progresar y de cumplir mi palabra de que era temporal nos mudamos.
After searching and raising money, we thought we wouldn't get a room, but God never leaves his children alone. Well, we found a room in a town south of Madrid (better than Valdemoro) called Fuenlabrada. The truth is that they are super nice people. They welcomed us and reserved the room even though there were other people visiting because they wanted to rent it out and we were short on money. Every day I thank God infinitely for the opportunity, and I truly bless this couple who welcomed us with open arms. They are a super friendly Venezuelan and Honduran couple.
Luego de tanto buscar y reunir dinero pensamos que no conseguiríamos habitación pero Dios nunca deja solos a sus hijos y bueno conseguimos una habitación en un pueblo del sur de Madrid (mejor que valdemoro) llamado Fuenlabrada y la verdad es que son personas súper agradables, nos recibieron y reservaron la habitación aún cuando habían otras personas para visita puesto que querían alquilarla y a nosotros nos faltaba un poco de dinero. Todos los días agradezco infinitamente a Dios por la oportunidad y de verdad que bendiga a esta pareja que nos recibió con los brazos abiertos que son un venezolano y una hondureña super amables.
I won't deny it, Legazpi is a very good exchange center since it allowed me to go to work in many areas of Madrid where I dream of going when the gypsies call me for work (I still don't have a permanent job), but hey, changes are for a better result.
No lo voy a negar, Legazpi es un intercambiador muy bueno puesto que me servía para ir a trabajar en muchas zonas de Madrid donde sueño ir cuando los gitanos me llaman para trabajar (aún no tengo algo fijo) pero bueno los cambios son para un mejor resultado.
