Feliz noche amigos, está noche quiero compartir con ustedes como vamos con el proceso de salud de mi mamá y es que hoy tuvimos que ir a la clínica ya que tenía cita con una neuróloga, ya que necesitábamos un informe médico que nos indique que todo está bien y aprovechamos de que fuimos a la clínica de hacerle unos exámenes de sangre y una placa de tórax, que debemos llevar al neumonologo.
Good evening friends, tonight I want to share with you how my mom's health process is going. Today we had to go to the clinic because she had an appointment with a neurologist. We needed a medical report indicating that everything is okay, and while we were there, we also had some blood tests and a chest x-ray done, which we need to take to the pulmonologist.
Llegamos aproximadamente una hora antes de la cita con la neuróloga ya que necesitábamos hacer exámenes de sangre para ver cómo están los niveles de hemoglobina. También le hicimos una placa de tórax ya que necesitamos esto para la cita con el neumonologo.
We arrived about an hour before the appointment with the neurologist because we needed to have blood tests done to check her hemoglobin levels. We also had a chest x-ray done, as we needed it for the appointment with the pulmonologist.
Este camino no ha sido nada fácil, ya que llegar a este momento nos tomo muchos meses, muchas visitas a diferentes médicos y mucho miedo porque seamos realistas escuchar que alguien que amas tiene un tumor no es fácil, ella a pasado por tanto verla perder peso, no tener energía no ha sido fácil. Pero ella sabe que yo estoy luchando con todas mis fuerzas para que esté bien y salga con bien de todo esto.
This journey hasn't been easy at all. Getting to this point has taken many months, countless visits to different doctors, and a lot of fear because, let's be honest, hearing that someone you love has a tumor isn't easy. She's been through so much; watching her lose weight and energy hasn't been easy. But she knows I'm fighting with all my strength to make sure she's okay and comes out of this strong.
La doctora nos trató súper bien, primero pasamos y le explicamos que mi mamá no sabe que tiene un tumor, ya que en la referencia que nos dió el médico salía esto y le explicamos que no dijera nada delante de mi mamá. Le hizo muchas preguntas para ver si estaba ubicada en tiempo y espacio y efectivamente si estaba bien por esa parte. En cuanto al examen físico si noto algunas cosas que le parecieron alarmantes como la perdida de fuerza en sus extremidades, y que no tiene casi equilibrio a la hora de caminar. Al evaluar todo esto decidido que necesitaba mandar a hacer una resonancia para saber que paso en el cerebro de mi mamá.
The doctor treated us wonderfully. We went in and explained that my mom doesn't know she has a tumor, since it was mentioned in the referral from the other doctor, and we told her not to say anything in front of my mom. She asked her many questions to see if she was oriented to time and place, and she was indeed fine in that regard. During the physical exam, she did notice some things that seemed alarming, such as weakness in her limbs and difficulty with her balance when walking. After evaluating all of this, she decided that she needed to order an MRI to find out what was happening in my mom's brain.
