Feliz noche amigos, luego de algunos días y de tener la cabeza un poco más clara quiero compartir con mi familia y amigos virtuales lo que está pasando con mi mamá, y es que luego de casi 5 meses por fin sabemos que está pasando y es que luego de visitar tantos médicos y tantos exámenes logramos encaminarnos un poco y saber que esta pasando y es que mi mamá tiene un tumor en el colon. Algo que creo nadie quiere escuchar pero no queda de otra que afrontar las cosas y sobre todo tener mucha valentía.

After almost five months, we finally know what's wrong. After visiting so many doctors and having so many tests, we've finally got a better understanding: my mom has a tumor in her colon. Un doctor examinó a mi mamá y sintió algo que no estaba bien y nos pidió una tomografía abdominal y pasaron varios días para que me dieran el informe de este examen y esto reveló que ella tiene un tumor en el colon, ese día sentí tanto miedo y llore mucho la verdad. Lo que me comentó el doctor que ordenó el examen es que por los momentos no le dijera nada a mi mamá para que no se deprimiera más.
A doctor examined my mom and sensed something wasn't right, so he ordered an abdominal CT scan. It took several days to get the report, and it revealed she has a tumor in her colon. I was so scared that day, and I cried a lot, to be honest. The doctor who ordered the scan told me not to tell my mom anything for now so she wouldn't get even more depressed.
Luego de tener el resultado de los exámenes llevamos a mi mamá a un doctor en esta oportunidad la llevamos a un cirujano oncólogo y este la examinó, y nos comentó que debemos operarla ya que el tumor esta bastante grande y corremos el riesgo de que ella se obstruya y todo se complique un poco más. El decidió decirle que tenía un defecto en el colon y por eso debemos operarla, no le hemos dicho en si que tiene un tumor.
After receiving the test results, we took my mother to a doctor. This time, we took her to an oncological surgeon, who examined her and told us that she needs surgery because the tumor is quite large and there's a risk of obstruction, which would complicate things further. He decided to tell her that she has a defect in her colon, which is why we need to operate. We haven't told her that she has a tumor yet.
Antes de poder operarla debemos hacerle más transfusiones ya que necesita tener un nivel de hemoglobina algo, debo decir que en la conocida clínica Nueva Esparta he tenido muchísima ayuda y todos allí nos conocen y nos desean lo mejor. Este día que mi mamá necesitaba la transfusion había que hacerle exámenes a la sangre para descartar que tenga hepatitis y otras enfermedades que ellos hay no tienen como hacer esa serología y esto debemos hacerlo nosostros en un laboratorio privado.
