El lunes mi novio estuvo de cumpleaños y decidí organizarle una pequeña fiesta sorpresa.
Él no suele celebrar sus cumpleaños pues dice que no le gusta ser el centro de atención, pero, yo quería que viera lo mucho que lo queremos así que planifiqué todo con mi mamá y mi tía Noris para celebrar de forma especial sus 27 años.
Llegué a casa después de un largo día de diligencias y me puse a llenar los globos para decorar. Mi tía fue a buscar la torta y los pasapalos llegaron en delivery.
Mi tía quiso ser graciosa y le hizo la torta de ''Call of Duty'' pues es el juego favorito de Luis, cuando llegó del trabajo le dije que se bañara pues ya teníamos todo listo.

On Monday my boyfriend had his birthday and I decided to throw him a little surprise party.
He doesn't usually celebrate his birthdays because he says he doesn't like to be the center of attention, but, I wanted him to see how much we love him so I planned everything with my mom and my aunt Noris to celebrate his 27th birthday in a special way.
I got home after a long day of errands and started filling the balloons to decorate. My aunt went to get the cake and the pasapalos arrived by delivery.
My aunt wanted to be funny and made him the ‘'Call of Duty’' cake because it is Luis' favorite game, when he came home from work I told him to take a bath because we already had everything ready.
A pesar de no ser amante a los cumpleaños y a que todo gire en torno a él, se la estaba pasando bastante bien.
Progresivamente mi familia empezó a llegar. No era una larga lista de invitados, solo estaba sus hermanos y su mamá, mi familia cerca de casa, sus tíos y dos amigos pero sus tíos y amigos no pudieron llegar.
Mientras los invitados llegaban iban entregándole sus obsequios y se tomaban fotos con él.
En una ocasión me dijo que ''ya no cabían los regalos en la mesa'' y me causó gracia y ternura a la vez pues lo dijo con un tono muy emocionado, parecía un niño.
Las primeras en llegar fueron Nancy, Carmen, Mirianneth y Albanis y ellas inmediatamente pidieron sus fotos con Luis.
Despite not being a lover of birthdays and everything revolving around him, he was having a pretty good time.
Progressively my family started to arrive. It wasn't a long guest list, just his siblings and mom, my family close to home, his uncles and two friends but his uncles and friends couldn't make it.
As the guests arrived they were handing him gifts and taking pictures with him.
On one occasion he told me that ‘'there was no more room for the gifts on the table’' and it was funny and tender at the same time because he said it with a very excited tone, he sounded like a child.
The first to arrive were Nancy, Carmen, Mirianneth and Albanis and they immediately asked for their pictures with Luis.
Después mi mamá y todos en la casa quisimos tomarnos las fotos antes de sudar pues nos tocaba empezar a repartir los pasapalos.
Mi abuela quiso su foto ella sola. Igual que Andrea y mi tía y obviamente mi mamá quería la foto con su yerno.
Luis en la casa es demasiado consentido y querido, lo que sea que pida o diga se lo dan, siempre consultan con él cualquier cosa, siempre le regalan cosas a veces suelo ponerme celosa en modo de broma porque se ha ganado el cariño de todos demasiado rápido.
Afterwards my mom and everyone in the house wanted to take pictures of us before we broke a sweat because it was time to start handing out the pasapalos.
My grandmother wanted her picture all by herself. So did Andrea and my aunt and obviously my mom wanted the picture with her son-in-law.
Luis is too spoiled and loved at home, whatever he asks or says they give it to him, they always consult with him about anything, they always give him gifts, sometimes I get jealous as a joke because he has won everyone's affection too fast.

Después de las fotos repartimos una ronda de refrescos y tequeños, mi tía preparó la salsa en cuestión de segundos.
Mientras repartía llegó mi suegra con mi cuñada y el resto de la familia. Su regalo era una sorpresa que no esperábamos... Una bicicleta.
Luis quedó totalmente sorprendido pues la verdad, era un regalo que no esperábamos, él no suele usar mucho su antigua bicicleta y por eso nunca se preocupó en cambiarla, ni tampoco mencionó nunca que quisiera una nueva y que su mamá llegara con una fue sorpresivo, jaja.
La bicicleta está bastante bonita y todos en la fiesta se emocionaron mucho y bromeaban con que ahora a mi me tocaba la antigua, el chiste tenía el trasfondo de que no sé manejar bicicleta jaja.
La parte más graciosa fue cuando mi sobrino Milan llegó unos minutos antes de la sorpresa y le dijo a Luis en voz alta ''Tío, mi abuela trae un regalo sorpresa para ti, es algo mucho más grande y bonito que tu bicicleta'' jajaja.
After the photos we passed out a round of soft drinks and tequeños, my aunt prepared the salsa in a matter of seconds.
While she was handing out, my mother-in-law arrived with my sister-in-law and the rest of the family. Her gift was a surprise that we were not expecting.... A bicycle.
Luis was totally surprised because the truth is, it was a gift we didn't expect, he doesn't use his old bike much and that's why he never bothered to change it, nor did he ever mention that he wanted a new one and that his mom arrived with one was a surprise, haha.
The bike looks pretty nice and everyone at the party got really excited and joked that now I got my old one, the joke had the undertone that I don't know how to ride a bike haha.
The funniest part was when my nephew Milan arrived a few minutes before the surprise and told Luis out loud ‘'Tio, my grandma is bringing a surprise gift for you, it's something much bigger and nicer than your bike’' hahaha.
Así pasamos un buen rato mientras el resto de los invitados llegaban.
Mi novio, olvidó su incomodidad y comenzó a disfrutar su fiesta, creo que lo que lo motivó fueron todos los regalos que vió y los que sabíamos que faltaban.
Ni siquiera yo esperaba tantos regalos, pues la invitación no era con esa intención sino con la de compartir y pasar un momento en familia.
We had a good time while the rest of the guests arrived.
My boyfriend, forgot his discomfort and began to enjoy his party, I think what motivated him were all the gifts he saw and the ones we knew were missing.
Even I did not expect so many gifts, because the invitation was not with that intention but with the intention of sharing and spending a moment with the family.
