My dear friends, I hope this message finds you all doing well and that you can take advantage of these amazing deals I found at Total. I’m here to tell you about my wonderful day celebrating Women’s History Month.
Well, it turns out that the stores wanted to reward us this year (I hadn’t seen them offer these deals or promotions in previous years), so I got, as we’d say in my country, “on the ball” (alert) to take advantage of these gifts they were giving us.
The day before, I was with my mom buying some things she needed, and I started looking at what I wanted and what was available for me. I didn’t buy it that same day because I knew the deals would come on the actual celebration day. I’m always so hopeful about that because I tell myself, “I’ll buy it tomorrow,” and when I go, it’s already gone 🙃, but this time I preferred to wait and stick to the original plan.
On Sunday, I set out in high spirits to go to the Total store. I arrived around noon, so it was pretty crowded; lots of women looking for the same deals as me 😊.
Mis queridos amigos, les saludo esperando que todo esté muy bien en sus vidas y puedan disfrutar de estas superofertas que conseguí en Total, y vengo a comentarles de mi gran día celebrando el Mes de la Mujer. Pues resulta que las tiendas nos quisieron premiar este año (no había visto que en otros años hayan hecho estas ofertas o tipo de promociones) y me puse, como diríamos en mi país, "pilas" (atenta) para poder disfrutar de estos regalos que nos estaban haciendo. El día anterior estaba con mi madre comprando unas cosas que ella necesitaba y fui viendo lo que quería y estaba disponible para mí. Ese mismo día no lo compré porque sabía que las ofertas venían el propio día de celebración. Siempre soy bien expectante con eso porque me digo "Mañana lo compro" y cuando voy, ya no hay 🙃, pero en esta oportunidad preferí esperar y adaptarme al plan inicial. El día domingo, me dispuse con mi mejor ánimo a ir a la tienda Total. Llegué casi al mediodía, por lo que estaba algo llena; muchas mujeres buscando las mismas ofertas que yo 😊.
I didn't know where to start because I wanted EVERYTHING! My neighbor was with me, and with every item we saw, we'd share a story or—even worse—feel the urge to take it home with us 🤣.
We wandered through the shoe section, the women’s and men’s clothing sections, and even though I wanted to buy everything, I kept telling myself, “Only take what you’re actually going to buy.” With that in mind, I passed up some of the items I liked, hoping to come back for them 😉.
My initial motivation was lingerie and the skincare line. As for lingerie, I’ve shopped there before and really liked the fabric and the variety of styles; plus, the prices have always been affordable. Unfortunately, everything I saw cost $3 or more, and it was hard to decide on anything. In the end, I bought about three items and felt really happy. My neighbor did even better and scored clothes for 25 cents 😱.
I moved on to the beauty section and spent a long time there because I wanted to read the product descriptions carefully and recall what I’d read in the #skin&care community so I could choose the best ones for my daily skincare routine, both night and day. I’ll share the details in the corresponding post, but I’m super excited about my purchase. As before, I left many items for a future visit to the store.
No sabía por dónde iniciar porque lo quería ¡TODO! Estuve acompañada de mi vecina y, con cada cosa que veíamos, compartíamos alguna anécdota o, peor aún, teníamos la necesidad de llevarlo a casa con nosotras 🤣. Paseamos por la parte de los zapatos, ropa de dama y de caballeros, y con ganas de comprar todo, me iba diciendo: "Solo lleva lo que verdaderamente te vas a llevar". Con esa premisa fui pasando de algunas de las prendas que me gustaban, con la esperanza de volver por ellas 😉.
Mi motivación inicial era la ropa interior y la línea de cuidado de la piel. En el caso de la ropa interior, he comprado en anterior oportunidad y me ha gustado mucho la tela y la versatilidad de modelos; además, los precios siempre han sido accesibles. Lamentablemente, lo único que veía costaba $3 o más y estaba difícil decidirme por alguna. Al final, compré unas 3 y me sentí muy feliz. A mi vecina le fue mejor y consiguió ropa de 0.25 centavos 😱. Pasé a los artículos de belleza y allí me detuve mucho tiempo porque quise leer bien los productos y recordar lo que he leído en la comunidad de #skin&care para poder escoger los mejores para el cuidado diario, tanto nocturno como diurno. Los detalles los daré en la publicación correspondiente, pero estoy superfascinada con su compra. Como en el caso anterior, dejé muchos para una nueva oportunidad de visitar la tienda.
Finally, water-heating teapots have become very popular in my country. I’ve seen them made of metal, in various colors, and in different sizes and capacities. I used to see them all the time and just let them pass me by, but this time I couldn’t look away.
Por último, en mi país se han hecho muy populares unas teteras que calientan agua. Las he visto de metal, de colores, de diferentes tamaños y capacidad de litros. Siempre las veía y las dejaba pasar, pero esta vez no pude mirar a otro lado.
Why do I need a teapot? No matter the answer, I WANT IT! Seriously though, sometimes when I heat water in my pots at home, no matter how much I wash them, it always smells like food. Plus, I have a water filter, but I feel like boiled water is much safer to drink. My argument to convince “myself” is that I don’t have a coffee maker, so it’ll let me serve hot, tasty coffee 😎. The one I bought was only $10, and I love how it works.
The best part of that purchase is that I paid with CREDITOTAL, which is a special credit offered by the store that requires a minimum purchase of $10 and allows you to pay the total amount in 5 interest-free installments. Too bad the offer is only for a few days—I hope to save up a little money to pick up the clothes I left behind 😉.
That’s how I spent Women’s Day—celebrating my inner and outer beauty, buying quality products, and spending a day just for us with my neighbor 🤗.
¿Para qué una tetera? Sin importar la respuesta, ¡LA QUIERO! Es que, hablando seriamente, a veces calentar agua en las ollas de mi hogar, por más que las lavo, siempre tiene un olor de comida. Además, yo tengo filtro de agua, pero siento que hervida es mucho más segura consumirla. Mi argumento para convencerme a "mí misma" es que no tengo cafetera y por ello me servirá para ofrecer un café bien caliente y sabroso 😎. La que compré fue por solo $10 y me ha encantado su funcionamiento. Lo mejor de toda esa compra es que se pagaba con el CREDITOTAL, que es un crédito especial que da la tienda y se usa con un monto mínimo de $10, y 5 cuotas sin interés para pagar el monto total. Lástima que es por pocos días la oferta y espero obtener un poco de dinero para buscar las prendas que dejé pendientes 😉. Así fue mi Día de la Mujer, celebrando mi belleza externa e interna, comprando productos de calidad y compartiendo con mi vecina un día solo de nosotras 🤗.
