Cuidando mi salud [ESP-ENG]

Hola amigos Hive account@lifestyle estoy por aquí para saludarlos y deseando que tengan un maravilloso día y un excelente comienzo de semana.

Quiero contarles que el año pasado por primera vez me realicé una mamografía y eco mamario, no les puedo decir que fue una agradable experiencia, pero para ser la primera vez no me molestó como yo creía. Lo malo fue que en el resultado de la mamografía salieron unos pequeños quistes que según la ginecóloga debía tratarlo con un mastologo, me costó mucho tiempo poder ir al mastologo porque una consulta cuestaba alrededor de 70$.

Estuve averiguando y conseguí un Dr. muy bueno que además de mastologo es oncólogo y atendía consultas solidarias en una fundación que se llama "Damas Salesianas" son bastante conocidas en la Isla de Margarita y en el municipio donde recido hay una sede, pero lamentablemente el Dr. No pasaba consulta en esa sede.

Me fui a la otra sede que queda en Pampatar, Municipio Maneiro y ahí me anotaron, espere durante varios lunes que me avisarán porque siempre había un tema distinto y terminaban posponiendo las citas y en eso se me fue todo el año pasado.

Este año en enero comencé a perseguir la cita de nuevo y no fue sino hasta marzo que me pude chequear con el Dr. Pero en el fondo siento que valió la pena la espera, el Dr. Muy bueno, súper cariñoso, cuenta con un aparato para hacer eco y de verdad me fue bken, me hizo eco mamario, eco renal, eco abdominal, eco tiroideo, eco vaginal y como le expliqué todo el proceso para que me pudiera atender, me cobró solo la consulta 15$ y más nada. Y lo mejor y para mí tranquilidad me dijo que no veía nada de quistes y que todo estaba bien.

Ahora bien me recomendó hacerme una colposcopia, yo salí ese día de la consulta muy tranquila por el tema de los quistes en los senos y no le di importancia a ese otro estudio y ni le pregunté al Dr. De que trataba.

Pero si se que vengo presentando ciertos transtornos con la llegada de la menstruación cosa que para mí es raro ya que mis periodos eran muy puntuales, sin dolor, ni malestar y un ciclo corto, pero desde hace poco veo cambios y eso me tiene alerta, pense que podia ser la llegada de la menopausia pero el Dr. Me aclaro que no y como no pasa todos los meses, pues me quede tranquila.

A los 2 meses me vino la menstruación y fue horrible el malestar, mucho sangrado y duró varios días y es cuando decidí buscar información de que trata la colposcopia.

Cuando leo que en la mayoría de los casos lo hacen para examinar a fondo y descartar "Cáncer de Cuello Uterino" por supuesto casi me da algo al ver la palabra cáncer.

Empecé con una preocupación más y desde ese momento mi periodo era un desastre, no tenía el dinero para hacer el estudio y adicional debia ir con otro ginecólogo.

Y en busca de información aquí y allá, llego a mi una información del Centro Medico la Fé, por estar en su aniversario 33, dónde harían una jornada solidaria que incluía consulta médica, citología y colposcopia por 25$, me parecio excelente ya que una consulta simple con el ginecólogo esta alrededor de 50$.

Enseguida me anoté, recuerdo que para esos días estaba también en proceso para la cirugía de hernia umbilical de mi hija y todo fue un colapso, ya que al ser jornada van muchas personas y es muy agotante el proceso.

Pero a Dios gracias las secretarias muy amablemente me cambiaron la cita 2 veces para ayudarme y finalmente me puse chequear con el Dr. Les puedo contar qué muy bien organizado todo, hasta me hicieron una entrevista para colgarla en las historias de su página de Instagram, de verdad los felice por su trato tan especial.

En general me fue muy bien, el Dr. También excelente y gracias a Dios y según el Dr. los resultados todos estaban bien, solo una pequeña inflamación para lo que me indico un tratamiento y lo pude comprar y cumplir al pie de la letra.

El Dr. También me aclaro ese día que no había de que preocuparse, ese estudio es tan importante como hacer una citología anual, solo que las mujeres no lo hacen porque no lo creen necesario y se conforrman solo con la citología.

Pero sufrí demasiado amigos y sola, no le quería contar a nadie lo que me pasaba, me caye todo e hice todo el proceso sola.

Solo mi amiga Yamilet sabía de lo que me pasaba pero tampoco le di demasiados detalles para no alertar, pues no estaba segura de nada y no iba a preocupar a los demás con mis preocupaciones.

Hoy doy gracias a Dios y a Hive que pude pagar mi consulta y salí de todo ilesa, prometí hacer el esfuerzo y todos los años puntualmente hacerme un chequeo de todo. La salud no es juego amigos, uno se queja por algún malestar pero ajá que hacemos para mejorar las cosas, miren en este proceso he podido ver qué si podemos conseguir lugares seguros, donde nos podemos chequear sin gastar tanto, es solo que uno termina dandole largas y sufriendo muchas veces inmediatamente.

I want to tell you that last year I had a mammogram and breast ultrasound for the first time. I can't tell you that it was a pleasant experience, but for the first time it didn't bother me as I thought. The bad thing was that the result of the mammogram showed some small cysts that according to the gynecologist I should treat with a mastologist. It took me a long time to go to the mastologist because a consultation cost around $70.

I was looking around and found a very good Dr. who, in addition to being a mastologist, is an oncologist and attended solidarity consultations at a foundation called "Salesian Ladies" who are quite well known on Margarita Island and in the municipality where I live there is a headquarters, but unfortunately the Dr. He did not consult at that office.

I went to the other headquarters that is in Pampatar, Maneiro Municipality and they signed me up there, I waited for several Mondays for them to notify me because there was always a different topic and they ended up postponing the appointments and that's where everything went last year.

This year in January I started pursuing the appointment again and it wasn't until March that I was able to check up with the Dr. But deep down I feel that it was worth the wait, the Dr. Very good, super caring, he has a device to do an echo and it really went well, he did a breast echo, renal echo, abdominal echo, thyroid echo, vaginal echo and since I explained the entire process so he could attend to me, he only charged me $15 for the consultation and nothing more. And best of all, and for my peace of mind, he told me that he didn't see any cysts and that everything was fine.

Now he recommended that I have a colposcopy, I left the consultation that day very calm about the issue of the cysts in the breasts and I did not give importance to that other study and I did not even ask the Dr. what it was about.

But I do know that I have been experiencing certain disorders with the arrival of menstruation, which is strange for me since my periods were very punctual, without pain or discomfort and a short cycle, but recently I have seen changes and that has me alert, I thought it could be the arrival of menopause but the Dr. clarified that it wasn't and since it doesn't happen every month, I stayed calm.

After 2 months I got my period and the discomfort was horrible, a lot of bleeding and it lasted several days and that is when I decided to look for information on what colposcopy is about.

When I read that in most cases they do it to thoroughly examine and rule out "Cervical Cancer" of course it almost gives me something to see the word cancer.

I started with one more concern and from that moment on my period was a disaster, I didn't have the money to do the study and I also had to go to another gynecologist.

And in search of information here and there, I received information from the La Fé Medical Center, because it was on its 33rd anniversary, where they would hold a solidarity event that included a medical consultation, cytology and colposcopy for $25. I thought it was excellent since a A simple consultation with the gynecologist is around $50.

I immediately signed up, I remember that on those days I was also in the process of having my daughter's umbilical hernia surgery and everything was a collapse, since as it was a day many people came and the process was very exhausting.

But thank God, the secretaries very kindly changed my appointment twice to help me and finally I got to check with the Dr. I can tell you how well everything was organized, they even did an interview with me to post it in the stories of their Instagram page, I really congratulate you for your special treatment.

In general it went very well, the Dr. was also excellent and thank God and according to the Dr. the results were all good, only a small inflammation for which he indicated a treatment and I was able to purchase it and comply to the letter.

But I suffered too many friends and alone, I didn't want to tell anyone what was happening to me, everything fell on me and I did the whole process alone.

Only my friend Yamilet knew what was happening to me, but I didn't give her too many details so as not to alert her, because I wasn't sure about anything and I wasn't going to worry others with my worries.

Today I thank God and Hive that I was able to pay for my consultation and I came out of everything unscathed, I promised to make the effort and get everything checked every year on time. Health is not a game friends, one complains about some discomfort but here what we do to improve things, look in this process I have been able to see that we can find safe places, where we can check ourselves without spending so much, it is just that one ends up giving long and often suffering immediately.
