Electricity during this festive period is really disappointing, as 8 speak it's been 3days since we last had light in our home. A time when people are supposed to enjoy the holidays with their families has become a nightmare because people now rely on other power sources to be able to carry out duties and tasks. The worse part of it is that the weather is so hot and the severe heat is causing rashes all over the body. The much anticipated harmattan has somehow seem to elude this time.
Die to the lack of electricity, we have to bear with the noise of generators from neighbors who choose to put it 24/7,the noise is so deafening and there is nothing we can do about it. I do not blame them because if there was constant power supply the environment would have been quiet and peaceful.
We also had to subscribe to the use of solar power and power banks to be able to power up our mobile devices and laptops. Honestly, this is not the time of the year that things are supposed to get messy and demanding, the year has been all round tough for citizens of the country and still we suffer for common electricity.
Without electricity, a lot of things can go wrong,it can bring about a financial burden on families who have planned their activities without the though that electricity would be a problem. Many people have now reported to alternative that are financially consuming. As usual, prices of stuffs are always high during this time placing extra financial pressure on families who are already spending on food, transportation, clothes, and so on.
