Recibo este nuevo ciclo con un profundo gozo en el alma. Me permito habitar mi paz interna como alguien que encuentra significado en la conexión humana, la creatividad productiva y el contacto con el mundo natural. Tras un fecundo viaje desde Boa Vista, Roraima, hasta Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, transitando rutas terrestres y aéreas, mi propósito es claro: fortalecer mi esencia humana durante este mes en la próspera región del sudeste brasileño. Conozco ya una parte de nuestra geografía suramericana, su gente y la vibrante sonoridad del portugués.
I welcome this new cycle with deep joy in my soul. I allow myself to inhabit my inner peace as someone who finds meaning in human connection, productive creativity, and contact with the natural world. After a fruitful journey from Boa Vista, Roraima, to Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, travelling by land and air, my purpose is clear: to strengthen my human essence during this month in the prosperous region of south-eastern Brazil. I already know part of our South American geography, its people and the vibrant sound of Portuguese.
Habito en la intersección de la palabra y la imagen, de la tierra y el camino, de la responsabilidad y la libertad. Soy padre, poeta, fotógrafo y jardinero. Viajero por vocación, creador de contenidos, por pasión, amigo por convicción y defensor de la libertad por naturaleza.
I live at the intersection of words and images, of the earth and the road, of responsibility and freedom. I am a father, poet, photographer and gardener. A traveller by vocation, a content creator by passion, a friend by conviction and a defender of freedom by nature.
La Paternidad como Raíz. Ser padre es mi ancla y mi propósito más profundo. En la mirada de mis hijos encuentro el reflejo del asombro que busco preservar en mí mismo. Con ellos practico el arte de cultivar, observar y cuestionar. Juntos exploramos no solo el jardín y los senderos del mundo, sino también los vastos territorios de la imaginación. Cada día descubro que aprendo de ellos tanto como ellos de mí. Llevo la paternidad en mi "cobija de viajero" como mi mayor aventura; juntos cultivamos el respeto por la Amazonía, ese espejo del mundo que nos rodea.
Fatherhood as a Root. Being a father is my anchor and my deepest purpose. In my children's eyes, I see reflected the sense of wonder that I strive to preserve within myself. With them, I practise the art of cultivating, observing and questioning. Together, we explore not only the garden and the paths of the world, but also the vast territories of the imagination. Every day I discover that I learn as much from them as they do from me. I carry fatherhood in my ‘traveller's blanket’ as my greatest adventure; together we cultivate respect for the Amazon, that mirror of the world around us.
La Creación y la Imagen. Cuento historias a través de múltiples lenguajes: la palabra, la imagen y la experiencia compartida. Como creador de contenidos, tejo narrativas sobre jardinería consciente y viajes transformadores. Con mi cámara no solo capturo momentos; los honro. Cada fotografía es una forma de afirmar que "esto merece ser recordado". Documento la transición de las estaciones, los rostros del camino y la luz que transmuta lo simple en extraordinario.
Creation and Image. I tell stories through multiple languages: words, images and shared experiences. As a content creator, I weave narratives about conscious gardening and transformative journeys. With my camera, I don't just capture moments; I honour them. Each photograph is a way of affirming that ‘this deserves to be remembered.’ I document the transition of the seasons, the faces along the way, and the light that transmutes the simple into the extraordinary.
El Jardín como Maestro. En la tierra, y ahora en esta nueva región, encuentro lecciones de paciencia y resiliencia. Cultivo con las manos y entiendo con el corazón. Practico la permacultura como una filosofía de vida: trabajar a favor de la naturaleza, nunca en su contra. El jardín me enseña que todo crecimiento auténtico requiere tiempo, atención y respeto por los procesos que no admiten prisa. Cada planta es un aprendizaje; cada brote, una celebración.
The Garden as Teacher. In the earth—and now in this new region—I find lessons in patience and resilience. I cultivate with my hands and understand with my heart. I practise permaculture as a philosophy of life: working with nature, never against it. The garden teaches me that all authentic growth requires time, attention, and respect for processes that cannot be rushed. Every plant is a learning experience; every sprout, a celebration.
Los Caminos como Aulas de la Vida. Viajar es mi educación continua. No colecciono destinos, sino perspectivas y encuentros. Cada lugar me ofrece una forma distinta de entender el mundo y, sobre todo, de autoevaluarme. Viajo para desaprender prejuicios y para recordar que mi realidad es solo una entre millones de posibilidades igualmente válidas. La amistad es aquí mi puente: un espacio sagrado de vulnerabilidad y crecimiento.
The Paths as Classrooms of Life. Travelling is my ongoing education. I do not collect destinations, but perspectives and encounters. Each place offers me a different way of understanding the world and, above all, of evaluating myself. I travel to unlearn prejudices and to remember that my reality is only one among millions of equally valid possibilities. Friendship is my bridge here: a sacred space of vulnerability and growth.
La Poesía y la Libertad. Escribo porque existen verdades que solo la palabra en su máxima intensidad puede nombrar. La poesía es mi herramienta para asir lo inefable: la melancolía de un ocaso, la fuerza del amor paternal o la quietud del alba. Mi brújula es la libertad. Priorizo la autonomía sobre la conformidad y la autenticidad sobre la aprobación. La libertad que defiendo no es la ausencia de vínculos, sino la capacidad de elegir conscientemente mis responsabilidades. Para mí, la libertad es la máxima expresión de la responsabilidad consciente.
Poetry and Freedom. I write because there are truths that only words at their most intense can name. Poetry is my tool for grasping the ineffable: the melancholy of a sunset, the power of paternal love, or the stillness of dawn. My compass is freedom. I prioritise autonomy over conformity and authenticity over approval. The freedom I defend is not the absence of ties, but the ability to consciously choose my responsibilities. For me, freedom is the ultimate expression of conscious responsibility.
El Tapiz Integrado. Estas facetas no son compartimentos aislados, sino hilos de un mismo tapiz. Al final del día, las definiciones se diluyen cuando me quito las botas de viaje o sacudo la tierra de mis manos. No soy un fotógrafo por la mañana y un padre por la tarde; soy el mismo hombre que intenta descifrar el mundo mientras prepara el café o poda un caudex. Mi vida ocurre en el cruce exacto de todas esas pasiones. En esa mezcla, a veces caótica, siempre honesta, es donde encuentro mi equilibrio.
The Integrated Tapestry. These facets are not isolated compartments, but threads of the same tapestry. At the end of the day, definitions blur when I take off my travelling boots or shake the dirt from my hands. I am not a photographer in the morning and a father in the afternoon; I am the same man trying to decipher the world while making coffee or pruning a caudex. My life happens at the exact intersection of all those passions. It is in that sometimes chaotic, always honest mix that I find my balance.
