Yesterday, Thursday, April 24, the Biotel Suites gallery inaugurated the exhibition Fragments of a Landscape, by artist Francisco León Jiménez.
The Biotel is located in front of the city's Obelisk, a good location, close to the airport. The hotel constantly supports the artists of the region, its gallery is always opening exhibitions open to the public that likes to enjoy art. On this occasion, the artist Francisco León Jiménez, has the opportunity to show his art to the community.
Ayer, jueves 24 de abril, la galería del Biotel Suites inauguró la exposición Fragmentos de un paisaje, del artista Francisco León Jiménez.
El Biotel está situado frente al Obelisco de la ciudad, una buena ubicación, cerca del aeropuerto. El hotel apoya constantemente a los artistas de la región, su galería siempre está abriendo exposiciones abiertas al público que le gusta disfrutar del arte. En esta ocasión, el artista Francisco León Jiménez, tiene la oportunidad de mostrar su arte a la comunidad.
The scheduled time was five o'clock in the afternoon. I arrived about ten minutes early. I also had to wait about ten more minutes before the ceremony started. I took advantage of those moments to greet the artist and talk to some people.
They started with a few words from the producer of the exhibition, then some words from the artist and an intervention from the Biotel representative. Once the initial prototype was finished, the exhibition was inaugurated and the public could enter the gallery.
La hora prevista eran las cinco de la tarde. Llegué unos diez minutos antes. También tuve que esperar unos diez minutos más antes de que empezara la ceremonia. Aproveché esos momentos para saludar al artista y hablar con algunas personas.
Empezaron con unas palabras del productor de la exposición, luego otras del artista y una intervención del representante de Biotel. Una vez terminado el prototipo inicial, se inauguró la exposición y el público pudo entrar en la galería.
Landscapes and fragments. That is what we can appreciate through the lines and colors of this solo exhibition. I am not an art expert, I consider myself just an observer. I like to appreciate the leftovers, in the hope that they make me feel something. Like any creative artistic work, each observing eye can draw different interpretations, which do not have to coincide with those of the author. That's the wonderful thing about art.
I have taken a photograph of the writing of the exhibition curator, which explains in more technical words the author's work and will be more useful for those who know more about pictorial arts. The exhibition will be open until mid-June.
Paisajes y fragmentos. Es o que podemos apreciar a través de las líneas y los colores de esta exposición individual. No soy un experto en arte, me considero sólo un observador. Me gusta apreciar las sobras, con la esperanza de que me hagan sentir algo. Como cualquier obra artística creativa, cada ojo observador puede extraer diferentes interpretaciones, que no tienen por qué coincidir con las del autor. Eso es lo maravilloso del arte.
He hecho una fotografía del escrito del comisario de la exposición, que explica con palabras más técnicas la obra del autor y que será más útil para los que sepan más de artes pictóricas. La exposición estará abierta hasta mediados de junio.

The inauguration was well attended. It was open to the general public. Friends and relatives of the artist were also present to support him.
Currently, the city's hotels are the ones that are open to artists' exhibitions. In the past this city hosted more spaces for artists to have more diffusion. I feel that this has been lost over time. In addition, the promotion of these activities does not have the support they need from many media, both conventional and alternative.
La inauguración contó con una nutrida asistencia. Estaba abierta al público en general. Amigos y familiares del artista también estuvieron presentes para apoyarle.
Actualmente son los hoteles de la ciudad los que están abiertos a exposiciones de los artistas. En el pasado esta ciudad acogía más espacios para que los artistas tuvieran más difusión. Siento que esto se ha ido perdiendo con el tiempo. Además, la promoción de estas actividades no tiene el apoyo que necesitan por parte de muchos medios de comunicación, tanto convencionales como alternativos.
I was there for about an hour and a half. I hope to return with more time to admire the work of this artist.
