The facilities of the Trinitarias Suites Hotel in Barquisimeto will host for three days the great event of the corn industry in Venezuela: The II Corn Expo Congress.
Las instalaciones del Hotel Trinitarias Suites de Barquisimeto acogerán durante tres días el gran evento de la industria del maíz en Venezuela: El II Expo Congreso del Maíz.
The most important event in the corn sector began on Thursday 14. On Friday 15, the programmed activities will continue and the closing of the event is scheduled for Saturday 16. The main hall of the Trinitarias Suite is the ideal place for those registered for the congress to listen to the presentations.
Technological development, profitability in the industry, experiences, agricultural innovation, risk and impact of agrochemicals, climate change and how it affects the sector and everything related to the cultivation of corn are some of the topics of the various conferences given by special guests, both Venezuelan and from other countries.
El evento más importante del sector del maíz comenzó el jueves 14. El viernes 15 continuarán las actividades programadas y la clausura del evento está prevista para el sábado 16. El programa de actividades del congreso incluye foros y ponencias de importantes personalidades y expertos en diversas áreas de la industria agroalimentaria. El salón principal de las Trinitarias Suite es el lugar idóneo para que los inscritos al congreso escuchen las ponencias.
Desarrollo tecnológico, rentabilidad en la industria, experiencias, innovación agrícola, riesgo e impacto de los agroquímicos, cambio climático y cómo afecta al sector y todo lo relacionado con el cultivo del maíz son algunos de los temas de las diversas conferencias dictadas por invitados especiales, tanto venezolanos como de otros países.

Although the main conferences are for those who have registered and have access credentials, the organizers have reserved another of the rooms of the prestigious hotel for totally free talks. So all those interested in agribusiness and corn are invited to attend.
Aunque las conferencias principales son para quienes se hayan inscrito y tengan credenciales de acceso, los organizadores han reservado otra de las salas del prestigioso hotel para charlas totalmente gratuitas. Así que todos los interesados en la agroindustria y el maíz están invitados a asistir.

The trade fair area is also open to the public. A large part of the hotel's parking lot was set up to house the stands of the companies participating in the expo. The customers and the general public had at their disposal products and services for the corn sector.
La zona de la feria también está abierta al público. Gran parte del aparcamiento del hotel se habilitó para albergar los stands de las empresas participantes en la expo. Los clientes y el público en general tenían a su disposición productos y servicios para el sector del maíz.

The first day was very well attended and I believe that both Friday and Saturday will exceed expectations in terms of attendance. Everything was splendidly organized. It is an event where every detail is taken care of.
The venue chosen for the event is one of the best in town. I love the Hotel Trinitarias Suites. It is located inside the Ciudad Las Trinitarias Shopping Center, east of the city. It offers many entertainment and shopping alternatives.
El primer día estuvo muy concurrido y creo que tanto el viernes como el sábado se superarán las expectativas en cuanto a asistencia. Todo estaba espléndidamente organizado. Es un evento en el que se cuidan todos los detalles.
El lugar elegido para el evento es uno de los mejores de la ciudad. Me encanta el Hotel Trinitarias Suites. Está ubicado dentro del Centro Comercial Ciudad Las Trinitarias, al este de la ciudad. Ofrece muchas alternativas de entretenimiento y compras.

An area of the expo was reserved for a group of food companies, where attendees and participants could buy food without having to leave the area. In addition, the coffee company Flor de Arauca was present in both the exhibition and conference areas, offering its coffee free of charge. This coffee is very good, it is the brand that I have been buying for some months now.
Se reservó una zona de la expo para un grupo de empresas de alimentación, donde los asistentes y participantes podían comprar comida sin tener que salir de la zona. Además, la empresa de café Flor de Arauca estuvo presente tanto en la zona de exposición como en la de conferencias, ofreciendo su café de forma gratuita. Este cafe es muy bueno, es la marca que estoy comprando desde hace algunos meses.

I spent about three hours touring the exhibit and taking pictures. I'm no expert on the subject, but I was able to learn a lot about corn planting and the state of the industry in the country. I love learning new things and went to a couple of free talks.
It wasn't all corn. Several auto marketing companies were also at the show. I was able to see some Fiat and Toyota cars. The former at about $23,000 and the Toyota at $74,000. I am still undecided on which one to buy. I have until Saturday to make up my mind ( daydreaming ).
Pasé unas tres horas recorriendo la exposición y haciendo fotos. No soy un experto en el tema, pero pude aprender mucho sobre la siembra de maíz y el estado de la industria en el país. Me encanta aprender cosas nuevas y fui a un par de charlas gratuitas.
No todo era maíz. Varias empresas de comercialización de automóviles también estaban en la exposición. Pude ver algunos coches Fiat y Toyota. El primero a unos 23.000 dólares y el Toyota a 74.000 dólares. Todavía estoy indeciso sobre cuál comprar. Tengo hasta el sábado para decidirme. ( soñando despierto)

I attended after noon and although I wanted to stay until the end, I had to fulfill other activities far from there, so I could not stay longer. I took a lot of pictures, but I think I missed some stands to visit. Approximately there were more than 90 exhibitors. This makes me see the resounding success of this event, which I am glad, for the sake of the country's industry and that it is done in the city, it is a contribution to tourism and the local economy.
I will try to come back for the closing day. I enjoyed a couple of talks and the trade show. I also ran into old acquaintances I hadn't seen in a while. It was a productive and entertaining day.
Asistí después del mediodía y aunque quería quedarme hasta el final, tenía que cumplir con otras actividades lejos de allí, por lo que no pude quedarme más tiempo. Hice muchas fotos, pero creo que me faltaron algunos stands por visitar. Aproximadamente había más de 90 expositores. Esto me hace ver el rotundo éxito de este evento, lo cual me alegra, por el bien de la industria del país y que se haga en la ciudad, es un aporte al turismo y a la economía local.
Intentaré volver para la jornada de clausura. Disfruté de un par de charlas y de la exposición comercial. También me encontré con viejos conocidos que hacía tiempo que no veía. Fue un día productivo y entretenido.
