Hola hivefriends, en esta oportunidad les vengo a contar algo muy personal pero importante en mi vida, y es que sí, después de trabajar por casi 10 años me he quedado sin trabajo.

Les cuento, yo empecé a trabajar a los 18 años, en un parque de diversiones muy popular dónde vivo. Allí aprendí todo lo que necesitaba saber de un trabajo, pues era una empresa grande, en la que se hacían muchas labores diarias.
I started working when I was 18 years old, in a very popular amusement park where I live. There I learned everything I needed to know about a job, because it was a big company, in which there were many daily tasks.
En ese trabajo hice amistades entrañables, aprendí a trabajar en equipo, bajo presión, a ser responsable y la verdad es el mejor trabajo que he tenido, siento mucho cariño y nostalgia cuando lo recuerdo. Estuve ahí por casi 4 años, sin embargo cuando todo se puso difícil en el país tuve que empezar a buscar otro trabajo.
In that job I made close friendships, I learned to work in a team, under pressure, to be responsible and the truth is the best job I have ever had, I feel a lot of affection and nostalgia when I remember it. I was there for almost 4 years, however when everything became difficult in the country I had to start looking for another job.
Mi segundo trabajo digamos que fue efímero, era en un hotel, y ahí dure menos de un mes, el ambiente de trabajo no me gustó ni un poquito y aunque trabajaba con uno de mis mejores amigos no me sentía cómoda en ese lugar, así que apenas dure unas tres semanas y tuve la suerte de conseguir un trabajo antes de retirarme.
My second job, let's say it was ephemeral, it was in a hotel, and I lasted less than a month there, I didn't like the work environment one bit and although I worked with one of my best friends I didn't feel comfortable in that place, so I only lasted about three weeks and I was lucky to get a job before retiring.
En esta tercera oportunidad trabajé en un gimnasio, también ha sido uno de los mejores trabajos, el ambiente de trabajo excelente, bastante retador, formaba parte de una empresa con franquicia a nivel internacional y ahí el compromiso y la calidad del trabajo eran muy diferentes a lo que ya conocía, en ese trabajo también me enamoré e hice grandes amistades.
In this third opportunity I worked in a gym, it has also been one of the best jobs, the work environment was excellent, quite challenging, I was part of a company with an international franchise and there the commitment and quality of work were very different from what I already knew, in that job I also fell in love and made great friendships.
Pero como toda gran empresa fue golpeada duramente por pandemia, cuando logramos reincorporarnos nos exigían demasiado y las metas eran inalcanzables, había demasiada presión por parte de los ejecutivos externos, y la verdad con el paso del tiempo he aprendido a poner mi paz y salud mental por encima de cualquier lugar y cualquier sueldo. Me había apartado de mis estudios por dar lo mejor de mi en el trabajo.
But like any great company, it was hit hard by pandemic, when we managed to rejoin the company they demanded too much and the goals were unattainable, there was too much pressure from external executives, and the truth is that with the passage of time I have learned to put my peace and mental health above any place and any salary. I had taken time away from my studies to do my best at work.
Empecé a reflexionar y ya tenía tres años trabajando en el gym y me di cuenta que no podía seguir posponiendo lo que para mí era más importante que era culminar mi carrera, y nuevamente antes de retirarme conseguí otra oferta laboral. Está vez en una tienda en uno de los centros comerciales de la ciudad, su dueño era conocido de dónde estaba trabajando y me dió la oportunidad.
I started to reflect and I had already been working in the gym for three years and I realized that I could not keep postponing what was most important to me, which was to finish my career, and again before retiring I got another job offer. This time in a store in one of the malls in the city, the owner knew where I was working and gave me the opportunity.
Así empecé en mi cuarto trabajo, vendiendo suplementos deportivos, puedo decir que este trabajo se parecía mucho a mi primer trabajo, era relajado, tranquilo, y aprendi muchas cosas del mundo fitness, una de mis pasiones porque he formado parte de este entorno por casi 6 años. Este trabajo me dió la oportunidad de poder terminar mi tesis de grado y graduarme de la universidad, pero luego de eso, la monotonía, trabajar tantas horas, y librar un solo día a la semana me estaban pasando factura.
So I started my fourth job, selling sports supplements, I can say that this job was a lot like my first job, it was relaxed, calm, and I learned many things about the fitness world, one of my passions because I have been part of this environment for almost 6 years. This job gave me the opportunity to finish my thesis and graduate from college, but after that, the monotony, working so many hours, and only one day a week was taking its toll on me.
Digamos que el ambiente de trabajo no fue malo, pero tampoco fue lo mejor, habían muchas cosas que no compartía y no se alineaban con mis principios y al cabo de tener un año y ocho meses empezaron haber problemas, por lo cual decidí retirarme una vez más prefiero mi tranquilidad que someterme a tanto estrés, por las condiciones de trabajo que ofrecían.
Let's say that the work environment was not bad, but it was not the best either, there were many things that I did not share and did not align with my principles and after a year and eight months there began to be problems, so I decided to retire once again, I prefer my peace of mind than to subject myself to so much stress, because of the working conditions they offered.
Es así que luego de casi 10 años y por primera vez me quedo sin empleo, me salgo de un trabajo a mi suerte porque no tengo nada, pero aún así siento que he ganado mucho, este último año fue muy difícil estar en ese trabajo, incluso hoy estoy escribiendo estás líneas en mi último día de trabajo en esta empresa, que dentro del todo agradezco, porque si no hubiese sido por todo lo que pasó no hubiese tomado la decisión de retirarme.
This is how after almost 10 years and for the first time I am unemployed, I leave a job to my fate because I have nothing, but I still feel that I have gained a lot, this last year was very difficult to be in that job, even today I am writing these lines on my last day of work in this company, which within all I am grateful, because if it had not been for everything that happened I would not have made the decision to retire.
Mi sueño es poder dedicarme a mi carrera actoral, y hacer cosas que de verdad me apasionen, ahora hay cosas de mi que no son negociables y mi tiempo es una de ellas, no quiero vivir para trabajar quiero tener un trabajo que me permita vivir, no vinimos al mundo por un quince y un treinta por pasar años de trabajo por solo quince días de vacaciones.
My dream is to be able to dedicate myself to my acting career, and do things that I am truly passionate about, now there are things about me that are not negotiable and my time is one of them, I do not want to live to work I want to have a job that allows me to live, we did not come into the world for a fifteen and a thirty to spend years of work for only fifteen days of vacation.
Mi reflexión es que no negociemos nuestro tiempo y hagamos cosas que de verdad llenen nuestro corazón y que aunque pase el tiempo estemos felices de haber hecho con él todo lo que queríamos.
My reflection is that we should not negotiate our time and do things that really fill our heart and that even if time passes we are happy to have done with it everything we wanted.
