Mi experiencia en el “II rally pedestre por amor a mis maestros” [ESP/ING]

Hola para todos mis amigos hivers de esta comunidad, espero se encuentren muy bien, el día de hoy me animo a compartir con ustedes mi experiencia cubriendo el “Segundo rally pedestre: por amor a mis maestros” acontecimiento que se realizó por primera vez en 2020, pero por el tema de la pandemia no se había podido continuar hasta la actualidad.

Hello to all my friends hivers of this community, I hope you are very well, today I am encouraged to share with you my experience covering the "Second Pedestrian Rally: in honor of the teachers" event that was held for the first time in 2020, but because of the pandemic issue had not been able to continue until today.

Todo comenzó en la mañana cuando el medio de comunicación al cual sirvo me notifica que era el elegido para cubrir dicha actividad, lo primero que hago es acercarme hasta la dirección señalada en el flyer, al llegar observo una buena cantidad de personas ocupando la calle, pero sin ningún tipo de orden, el rally se tenía pautado para las 9:00 a. m. pero, por problemas en la logística se extendió la hora de partida, la gran mayoría de los participantes llegaron luego de la hora pautada y como se ve en la imagen la ambulancia tampoco estaba apta para cubrir con su función de acompañar durante el trayecto.

It all started in the morning when the media to which I serve notifies me that I was chosen to cover this activity, the first thing I do is to approach the address indicated in the flyer, upon arrival I see a lot of people occupying the street, but without any order, the rally was scheduled for 9:00 a. m. but due to logistical problems the departure time was extended, the vast majority of participants arrived after the scheduled time and as seen in the picture the ambulance was not able to cover its function of accompanying during the journey.

La intención de dicha actividad era homenajear la figura de los maestros, esto lo lograrían con premios sorpresas totalmente al azar para los corredores (educadores), alrededor de las 10:30 a. m. se dio inicio al rally, desde mi punto de vista los que estaban involucrados en la actividad se lo tomaron de manera muy informal y relajado, evidencia de ello es que muchas personas participaron usando pantalón, algo que es inusual en este tipo de eventos, pero que entiendo por qué seguramente al estar la situación con los educadores en mi país un poco tensa, no iban a estar con la mayor disposición o estado de ánimo.

The intention of this activity was to honor the figure of the teachers, this would be achieved with surprise prizes totally random for runners (educators), around 10:30 a.m., the rally began. From my point of view those involved in the activity took it in a very informal and relaxed way, evidence of this is that many people participated wearing pants, something that is unusual in this type of event, but I understand why surely being the situation with educators in my country a little tense, they were not going to be with the greatest willingness or mood.

Cómo fui notificado el mismo día sobre la pauta, no tuve el suficiente tiempo para informarme sobre todos los detalles sobre el, no sabía cuál era el trayecto exacto por el cual iban a transitar, solo tenía conocimiento del lugar de inicio y final (ambas cercanas), así que tenía dos opciones, la primera era acompañar a los corredores para capturar fotografías sobre cualquier suceso o inconveniente de relevancia que pase, o esperar en la línea final y estar en buena posición para fotografiar al ganador o ganadora.

As I was notified the same day about the pattern, I did not have enough time to inform myself about all the details about it, I did not know what was the exact route through which they were going to travel, I only had knowledge of the place of beginning and end (both close), so I had two options, the first was to accompany the runners to capture photographs of any event or inconvenience of relevance that happens, or wait at the finish line and be in a good position to photograph the winner or winner.

Luego de pensarlo bien, y teniendo en cuenta que el rally era más un evento simbólico que competitivo, elegí la primera opción, al final fue un trayecto corto, alrededor de 25-30 minutos como máximo, al final se sortearon los premios con los números de los participantes que colgaban en sus cuellos, y los premios se los harían llegar a los ganadores con el paso de los días.

After thinking it over, and taking into account that the rally was more a symbolic event than a competitive one, I chose the first option, in the end it was a short ride, about 25-30 minutes at the most, at the end the prizes were drawn with the numbers of the participants hanging on their necks, and the prizes would be given to the winners as the days went by.

Al final pasé la información y documentación sobre el evento al medio y así término mi labor por el día, siempre me gusta aclarar que en ocasiones un hecho puede tener un fin político camuflado o de intereses particulares hacia algún sector en específico, pero siempre me intento mantener lo más alejado posible y ser imparcial.

Gracias a los que llegaron hasta el final, tengo muchas más historias o anécdotas que me pasan cubriendo eventos, si les despierta la curiosidad puedo contarlas próximamente sin ningún problema, cualquier duda o recomendación estaré atento para leerlos y responderles en la brevedad, hasta la próxima.

At the end I passed the information and documentation about the event to the media and thus ended my work for the day, I always like to clarify that sometimes an event may have a camouflaged political purpose or particular interests towards a specific sector, but I always try to stay as far away as possible and be impartial.
