My Favorite Zuni Design Earrings
I don't wear jewelry often, especially rings anymore. I wear necklaces sometimes. I like to wear earrings or body piercings almost every day. However, I have a strong allergy to metal or similar materials. It's a very interesting allergy. Sometimes I react to silver or other materials, but other times I'm okay. I can't predict which types of materials are bad for my allergy.
I fell in love with these earrings when I went to Santa Fe, New Mexico. They sat on the display very quietly. There are more gorgeous accessories everywhere downtown, but I liked them the best. I love the colours of them, the designs, and the energy. They became my favourite earrings and a great protection since that day.
There are the signs 'ACU' on the opposite side of these earrings. April Unkestine is the artist of these earrings. I like this artist's designs because they are simple and gentle yet powerful. The Zuni Sunface Symbol on these earrings is very beautiful. The Sunface is an ancient symbol in Zuni culture, where it represents the sacred Sun Father.

I visited this pretty store downtown. When I entered the beautiful small store, there was a lot of amazing artwork. I especially liked the corn maiden dolls. I was inspired by the corn maiden folk stories and created my cut paper artwork before. I will write about it someday soon. The Zuni are Native American Pueblo peoples native to the Zuni River valley. I also want to write about the Pueblo people's beautiful heritage place sometime shortly. I have taken care of these earrings for a long time. They are my gentle protection. Every time I wear them, I feel they are with me. What is your protection?

お気に入りのズニ族デザインのイアリング
指輪などのアクセサリーはあまりつけなくなりました。ネックレスはときどきつけます。イアリングやボディピアスはほぼ毎日好んでつけます。しかし、金属アレルギーがひどいので気をつけなければなりません。不思議なことに、シルバーやその他の貴金属に異常にアレルギー反応を起こすことがありますが、大丈夫なものもあります。何の素材にアレルギー反応を起こすのかはその時々違うのでわかりません。
ニューメキシコのサンタフェを訪れた時に見かけたイアリングに惹かれました。ディスプレーの中に鎮座していたイアリングです。ダウンタウンには他にもたくさん素晴らしいアクセサリーがあったのですが、このイアリングが私にとっては一番でした。色といい、デザインといい、醸し出す雰囲気といい大好きな感じでした。その日から私のお気に入りのイアリングになりました。

イアリングの裏には「ACU」というサインが入っています。 April Unkestineさんがこのイアリングのアーティストさんです。シンプルで、優しいのに力強いデザインを作る彼女の作品が好きです。ズニ族のSunfaceのシンボルが入ったデザインがとても美しいです。Sunfaceは古代からのズニ族の文化の象徴で、神聖な父なる太陽を表しています。
ダウンタウンにあるこのかわいらしいお店を訪れました。小さくて素敵なお店の中に足を踏み入れると、中には素晴らしいアート作品がずらりと並んでいました。とうもろこしの乙女たちの人形が特に好きです。このとうもろこしの乙女たちの物語に影響されて切り絵を作ったことがあります。今度そのことについて書きたいです。ズニ族はズーニー川渓谷のプエブロの先住民の人々です。プエブロの人々の美しい遺産についても今度書きたいと思います。このイアリングはずっと大事にしたいと思っています。優しいお守りで、いつも身につけると側にいてくれるような気持ちになります。みなさんのお守りは何ですか？
