Hello, Hive Friends! 💕 I hope you’re all doing well and finding joy in the little surprises life brings. Today, I want to share a story about how my Valentine’s celebration didn’t happen on the exact day, but turned out even more special the following day.
Valentine’s Day this year was supposed to be spent with my friends on a group date. Unfortunately, the heavy rains poured nonstop until the afternoon, forcing us to cancel our plans. Even though my boyfriend wanted to come over, I didn’t allow him to travel through the bad weather. It would have been too much of a struggle for him.
The next day, which luckily was his rest day, he finally came to visit. Instead of flowers (He knows I’m not a fan of those), he brought food, exactly what makes me happiest! He arrived with breads and a whole Chooks To Go chicken.
We enjoyed the breads together during merienda, pairing them with ice-cold Coke. Later that evening, the roasted chicken became our dinner viand. It was simple, thoughtful, and delicious---proof that love doesn’t need grand gestures, just sincerity and shared moments.
Thank you, Hive Friends, for reading my little post-Valentine’s story. Sometimes, celebrations don’t happen exactly as planned, but they can still turn out beautifully when shared with the right person. 💖
