Sin embargo, si hay algo que me obliga a salir de esa rutina es cuando mis sobrinos me piden que haga cosas por ellos; queriendo o no, muchas veces termino aceptando sus invitaciones.
Acepto también que la mayoría de las veces no quiero acudir a reuniones o a eventos de ningún tipo, y menos ahora mismo, porque me siento extremadamente cansada los días en los que estoy libre. Pero mi sobrinita insistió tanto esta vez que cedí por completo; sabía que estaba estresada y sentí que debía darle algo de apoyo moral, aunque en realidad ella es bastante independiente y ya tiene experiencia en lo que hace, pues practica desde que era muy pequeña.
Hi, everyone! If you’ve been following me here, you know I’ve been swamped with work and the worries of everyday life. However, if there’s one thing that forces me to break out of that routine, it’s when my nieces and nephews ask me to do things for them; whether I want to or not, I often end up accepting their invitations.
I also admit that most of the time I don’t want to attend gatherings or events of any kind, and even less so right now, because I feel extremely tired on my days off. But my little niece insisted so much this time that I gave in completely; I knew she was stressed and felt I should offer her some moral support, even though she’s actually quite independent and already has experience in what she does, since she’s been practicing since she was very young.
Todo comenzó con una presentación de danza lírica en la que, por cierto, me concentré tanto que no tomé fotografías. No sé qué me pasa, pero últimamente solo me decanto por vivir los momentos más que por guardar recuerdos. Puede ser porque últimamente olvido todo, y sé que es porque no me concentro lo suficiente. Justo por eso quiero dejar esto por aquí, para archivarlo en caso de que mi mente falle en el futuro.
El asunto es que mi sobrinita es bailarina de danza lírica y tuvo una presentación donde tenía que aparecer en varias escenas, razón por la que estaba más estresada de lo habitual y, como era de esperarse... ¡estuvo espectacular! Verla en el escenario, con sus movimientos perfectamente sincronizados y esa sonrisa nerviosa antes de presentarse, pero llena de ilusión, fue indescriptible. Tanto, que me hizo llorar varias veces pensando en la cantidad de ocasiones en las que se ha presentado y yo no he podido verla.
The thing is, my little niece is a ballet dancer, and she had a performance where she had to appear in several scenes, which is why she was more stressed than usual—and, as expected… she was spectacular! Seeing her on stage, with her perfectly synchronized movements and that nervous smile before going on, yet full of excitement, was indescribable. So much so that it made me cry several times thinking about all the times she’s performed and I haven’t been able to see her.
It all started with a lyrical dance performance where, by the way, I was so focused that I didn’t take any pictures. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but lately I’ve been more inclined to live in the moment than to preserve memories. It might be because I’ve been forgetting everything lately, and I know it’s because I don’t concentrate enough. That’s exactly why I want to write this down here, to save it in case my memory fails me in the future.
Lo hizo extremadamente bien (cosa que nunca dudé, porque es muy dedicada y todo lo que hace lo hace bien), así que todos estábamos súper orgullosos y, como se imaginarán, ella flotaba de felicidad. Ahora me lamento horrible por no haber tomado fotos del acto, pero ni modo; por eso decidí dejar registro de las imágenes que capturé el resto de ese día y aprovechar de hablar un poco del sitio que visitamos para recordarlo en el futuro.
Después de tantos aplausos y emoción, el hambre empezó a hacerse sentir y lo que comenzó como una tarde de artes escénicas terminó en una pequeña reunión familiar en un lugar que nos dejó encantados. Queríamos celebrar el éxito de la función con algo especial y, por casualidad, terminamos conociendo un sitio nuevo de venta de pizzas y helados en La Asunción que resultó ser toda una sorpresa.
She did an amazing job (which I never doubted, because she’s very dedicated and does everything well), so we were all super proud, and, as you can imagine, she was floating on cloud nine. Now I really regret not taking any photos of the performance, but oh well; that’s why I decided to document the images I captured the rest of that day and take the opportunity to talk a little about the place we visited so we can remember it in the future.
After all the applause and excitement, we started to get hungry and what began as an afternoon of performing arts ended up as a small family gathering at a place that we absolutely loved. We wanted to celebrate the success of the performance with something special, and by chance, we ended up discovering a new pizza and ice cream spot in La Asunción that turned out to be quite a surprise.
La entrada del local, que por cierto se llama "Zona Happy", está iluminada por una cascada de luces que te invita a entrar. Esto fue lo primero que nos llamó la atención: esa iluminación la lograron con una serie de luces tipo guirnalda que creaban un ambiente súper cálido y festivo. ¡Era perfecto para una celebración!
El establecimiento cuenta con un espacio al aire libre que es pura magia; un rincón súper fresco y relajante porque está rodeado de vegetación, palmeras, y la decoración es de un estilo muy natural. ¡Se sentía una brisa deliciosa a esa hora! Es el lugar ideal para disfrutar de la noche asuntina. Probablemente en el día haga un poco de calor por el clima actual, pero al final de la tarde se sintió bastante bien.
Si el exterior nos gustó, el interior nos dio una sorpresa mayor y es que, si me conocen, saben que soy fanática del estilo Pop Art. ¡Y este lugar lo tiene por todos lados! Me encantó lo vibrante de los colores, los diseños tipográficos súper originales y los elementos icónicos de la cultura pop, lo cual le da una energía increíble al espacio y hace que cada rincón sea perfecto para una foto.
The entrance to the venue—which, by the way, is called “Zona Happy”—is lit up by a cascade of lights that invites you inside. That was the first thing that caught our eye: they achieved that lighting with a series of string lights that created a super warm and festive atmosphere. It was perfect for a celebration!
The venue has an outdoor space that’s pure magic; a super cool and relaxing spot because it’s surrounded by greenery, palm trees, and the decor has a very natural style. There was a delightful breeze at that time of day! It’s the ideal place to enjoy the night in Asunción. It’s probably a bit warm during the day given the current weather, but by late afternoon it felt quite nice.
If we liked the exterior, the interior gave us an even bigger surprise—and if you know me, you know I’m a huge fan of Pop Art. And this place is full of it! I loved the vibrant colors, the super-original typographic designs, and the iconic pop culture elements, which give the space incredible energy and make every corner perfect for a photo.
Por supuesto, no podíamos dejar de probar sus especialidades. Compramos dos combos de pizza que estaban deliciosas, con una masa perfecta, y bebidas (también venden helados). En general, ¡fueron el broche de oro para terminar el día! Pero más allá de la decoración y la comida (que estaban increíbles), lo que realmente marcó la diferencia fue la atención.
Desde el momento en que llegamos, el trato hacia el cliente fue excepcional. Fueron súper amables, pacientes con todos nosotros (que éramos bastantes) y siempre nos trataron con una sonrisa. Mi sobrinita estuvo feliz por su celebración, y gran parte de eso fue gracias al ambiente tan acogedor y al trato estupendo que recibimos.
Of course, we couldn’t resist trying their specialties. We bought two pizza combos that were delicious, with perfect crust, and some drinks (they also sell ice cream). Overall, they were the perfect way to end the day! But beyond the decor and the food (which were amazing), what really made the difference was the service.
From the moment we arrived, the customer service was exceptional. They were super friendly, patient with all of us (and there were quite a few of us), and always greeted us with a smile. My little niece was thrilled with her celebration, and a big part of that was thanks to the warm atmosphere and the wonderful treatment we received.
Por si fuera poco, hasta nos encontramos con un rincón especial para fotos que parece sacado de un sueño. ¡Hasta un columpio tienen! Todo decorado con globos para amenizar el espacio. Aproveché de sacarle fotos a ella y a la abuela después de comer, para que posara feliz por la excelente presentación de su nieta y una entre las tres.
En conclusión, esta fue, sin duda, una de esas salidas familiares que guardaré con mucho cariño, porque fue un día de orgullo por mi pequeña gran artista y de descubrimiento de un lugar que nos llenó de "buena vibra". Fue un día especial, me hizo salir de la rutina, recordar lo realmente importante de la vida y que debo salir un poco más. Lamento nuevamente no haber tomado fotografías del evento; sin embargo, estoy casi segura de que mi hermana montará sus fotos pronto por ahí en su blog e igual existirá el recuerdo. Por lo pronto, les agradezco por pasar y leerme.
As if that weren’t enough, we even found a special photo corner that looked like something out of a dream. They even have a swing! Everything was decorated with balloons to liven up the space. I took the opportunity to snap some photos of her and Grandma after lunch, so she could pose happily for her granddaughter’s excellent performance and a shot of the three of us together.
In conclusion, this was undoubtedly one of those family outings that I’ll cherish dearly, because it was a day filled with pride for my little big artist and the discovery of a place that filled us with “good vibes.” It was a special day; it got me out of my routine, reminded me of what’s truly important in life, and made me realize I need to get out a little more. I’m sorry again for not taking any photos of the event; however, I’m almost certain my sister will post her photos on her blog soon, so the memory will live on.
