Christmas has arrived at home | Decorating as a family [ENG-ESP]

As every year it is in my mind to make a beautiful design, we take out the boxes, open the bags, and select what will go this year and incorporate the new decorations, we classify the lights, the balls, the flowers, the ribbons, the nativity, the garlands, everything is perfectly organized is our way to start assembling. Once everything is ready, we let our imagination go out to decorate every corner of the house. Tradition that goes from generation to generation, my mom, my daughter and I spent a day working full but happy giving each one of us our special touch.

Cómo todos los años está en mi mente hacer un diseño bonito, sacamos las cajas, abrimos las bolsas, y seleccionamos lo que irá este año e incorporamos los adornos nuevos, clasificamos las luces, las bolas, las flores, las cintas, el nacimiento, las guirnaldas, todo queda perfectamente organizados es nuestra forma de comenzar a armar. Ya con todo eso listo dejamos salir nuestra imaginación para la decoración de cada rincón de la casa. Tradición que va de generación en generación, mi mamá, mi hija y yo pasamos un día trabajando full pero felices dando cada una su toque especial.

This year I decided to put the yellow ribbons on the tree, and fill it with red flowers and lots of balls, we love balls. My daughter was contributing her ideas, even though she is a little girl, she knows a lot about decoration. My mom helped me to take out the boxes and bags and clean up the order, when the tree was ready we enjoyed seeing how beautiful it was.

Este año decidí colocarle las cintas amarillas al arbolito, y llenarlos de flores rojas con muchas bolas, nos encantan las bolas. Mi hija le iba aportando sus ideas, a pesar de que es pequeña sabe mucho de decoración. Mi mamá me ayudaba más a sacar las cajas y bolsas e ir limpiando mantenimiento el orden, cuando estuvo listo el árbol disfrutamos viendo lo bonito que quedo.

We also decorated the table with a tablecloth and a Christmas arrangement. Just as the bathroom had its Christmas participation, the cushions were put together by my mom, she filled them and cooked them so that they would not come unstuck. Everything was getting a better view, the little house was getting full of magic.

También adornamos la mesa colocándole el mantel y un arreglo de navidad. Al igual que el baño tuvo su participación navideña, los cojines los iba armando mi mamá, los rellenaba y cocia para que no se despegarán. Todo iba teniendo una mejor vista, se iba llenando de magia la casita.

It took us many hours to decorate, it was time to make lunch and we had to stop, but we continued immediately because we were very excited to see the final result. My daughter was the star helper.
An ornament here, an ornament there and we sat down to appreciate such a beautiful work, no doubt it helped us to promote teamwork, family unity, this and more is what this Christmas season is all about, it is conducive to share as a family, it unites us when decorating the house, when making the hallacas, also when sitting at the table to delight us with the Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve dinners. It is my favorite time of the year.

En la decoración tardamos muchas horas, llego la hora de hacer almuerzo y nos toco parar, pero continuamos de inmediato pues estábamos muy emocionadas de ver el resultado final. Mi hija era la ayudante estrella. Un adorno por aquí, un adorno por allá y nos sentamos a apreciar tan bonito trabajo, sin duda nos sirvió para fomentar los lazos de trabajo en equipo, de unión familiar, de esto y más se trata esta época de navidad, es propicia para compartir en familia, nos une a la hora de decorar la casa, al momento de hacer las hallacas, también al sentarnos a la mesa para deleitarnos con las cenas de noche buena y fin de año. Es mi época favorita del año.
