Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a great celebration just like I did last night. This time, my New Year’s Eve celebration was a bit different than usual. Normally, my family would organize a get together and BBQ night but this year we all had our own plans including myself.
There was also the end of year service at my church and I attended that one. We shared simple meals after the service, and it was quite a new experience for me. After attending church service, I and some friends from the church walked through the car free night where there are many sellers and peddlers around.
We played some games on the roadside and had some cheap coffee. It was fun on its own and we stayed around the area about 30 minutes before we attended one of my mother friends’ birthdays.
This year, the NYE is celebrated quite solemnly due to many disasters happening in the country. So there are no extreme loud fireworks or any actual parties. There are only a few lit by people and on a smaller scales. So it's not as festive as previous years.
The celebration was simple but filled with laughter and joy. It felt like a family gathering and with loved ones. I was glad to be part of it as technically; I have never been invited to friend’s birthday or anything other than that one. So, I really felt like I was a part of their family. The family is also welcoming and it’s like I gained a new family.
There were many delicious foods being served as well which unfortunately, I didn’t take pictures of it. I was just enjoying the time I spent there. I hope my 2026 is still filled with this kind of experience.
That’s all for the update. It’s time for me to do some year reset, clean out my closets and what not. I want to start 2026 with fresh outlook and apparently, I already have a place I’ll be stationed around February to April. So, I am getting very excited about it and about it. That means there will be a new place I could explore in this country. So, I’m looking forward to that as well.
Once again, Have a Happy And Blessed New Year!
