Last week I had a magical experience, almost literally 😉 I visited A&B Café, a place that's causing a sensation in my city among all the Harry Potter fans. It's almost entirely themed around the saga of the world's most famous boy wizard, and as a die-hard Potterhead, I'm obviously always going there. It's a restaurant, but it's also a café, a library, and a bookstore. This time, I intend to show you the bookstore and stationery area in more detail because everything you can find there is truly fascinating.
La semana pasada viví una experiencia mágica, casi literalmente 😉 y es que estuve en A&B Café un lugar que está causando sensación en mi ciudad entre todos los fans de Harry Potter ya que está ambientado casi en su totalidad inspirado por la saga del niño mago más famoso del mundo, y como soy Potterhead de pura sepa obviamente que siempre estoy yendo a ese lugar. Es un restaurante pero también es un café, una biblioteca y una librería. En esta ocasión pretendo mostrarles con más detalles el área de librería y papelería porque realmente es fascinante todo lo que puedes encontrar allí.
The stationery section has lots of interesting things, obviously a lot of school supplies and also some craft supplies like acrylic paints, construction paper, etc. But the bookstore section is the best, and guess what? I found something I've been looking for for ages: The Walking Dead comics! Ahhhhhh! I couldn't believe it! 🤗😃 I've already read them, but in PDF format, and I really wanted to have them in physical form, but wow! Luckily, I found them here. They don't have all the issues, but they have several, especially the ones with my favorite villain, Negan.
El area de papelería tiene muchas cosas interesantes, obviamente mucho material escolar y también algunas cosas para realizar manualidades como pinturas acrílicas, cartulinas, etc. Pero el área de librería es la mejor y ¿Adivinen qué? encontré algo que yo estaba buscando desde hace muchísimo tiempo, se trata de los comics de The Walking Dead ¡Ahhhhhhh! No podía creerlo 🤗 😃 Es que yo ya los leí pero en formato PDF y en serio yo quería tenerlos en formato físico, pero ¡Wow! Afortunadamente pude encontrarlos aquí. No están todos los números pero sí varios, en especial donde aparece mi villano favorito, Negan.
As for books, there's a great variety of classics and new releases, but I definitely couldn't leave out my favorite saga, which was perfect timing because I really need to replace my Harry Potter books. I've had them for ages, and the pages have started falling out over time. They have the complete saga in different editions; the only one missing is the illustrated version, which is the one I'd most like to have (but it's more expensive).
En cuanto a libros hay una gran variedad entre clásicos y novedades, pero definitivamente no podía faltar mi saga favorita, algo que me vino como anillo al dedo porque yo ya necesito reemplazar mis libros de Harry Potter, ya que los tengo desde hace mucho y con el tiempo se le han ido cayendo las páginas. Ellos tienen la saga completa y además de diferentes ediciones, solo faltaría la versión ilustrada que es la que más me gustaría tener (pero es más costosa)
They also sell magic wands for almost all the characters in the saga. They're original, so they're very high quality, come in their boxes, and even with a certificate. It's almost as if Ollivander himself made them, haha 😄 (The wandmaker)
Y también venden las varitas mágicas de casi todos los personajes de la saga, son originales así que son de muy buena calidad, vienen en su caja y hasta con el certificado. Es casi como si las hubiese fabricado el propio Ollivander jaja 😄 (El fabricanted e varitas)
One of the best books they have is the famous Monster Book of Monsters (Those who have read the book or even seen the movie "The Prisoner of Azkaban" will recognize it as a very aggressive book 😄) It really has an intimidating appearance but Hagrid knew how to appreciate it very well, and we Potterheads too.
Uno de los mejores libros que tienen es el famoso Monstruoso Libro de los Monstruos (Los que hayan leído el libro o siquiera visto la película "El Prisionero de Askaban" podrá reconocerlo como un libro muy agresivo 😄) De verdad tiene una apariencia intimidante pero Hagrid lo sabía apreciar muy bien, y nosotros los Potterheads también.
One of the best spots without a doubt is the one where you can take photos dressed as a Hogwarts student. I chose the Ravenclaw robe because that's my house. The best part is that there were four of us, so there was exactly one for each house 🤗 😃.
Uno de los mejores Spots sin lugar a dudas es ese donde puedes tomarte fotos caracterizado como un estudiante de Hogwarts, yo elegí la túnica de Ravenclaw porque esa es mi casa, lo mejor de todo es que éramos cuatro, así que había exactamente una para cada casa 🤗 😃.
And finally, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take my own picture while carrying my luggage as I cross platform 9 3/4 😄
Y finalmente tampoco podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de tomar mi respectiva fotografía trasladando mi equipaje mientras atravieso el andén 9 y 3/4 😄
Seriously, every time I go there I can't help but feel like I'm in a magical world. It's a wonderful place, 100% recommended to all Potterheads. It's in the city of Valencia (in Venezuela) and, as I mentioned, it's multifunctional, meaning you can go to eat, read, or buy any book 😃. En serio cada vez que voy ahí no puedo evitar sentirme en el mundo mágico, es un lugar maravilloso, 100% recomendado a todos los Potterheads, está en la ciudad de Valencia (en Venezuela) y tal como les dije es multifunciones, es decir, que puedes ir a comer, a leer o a comprar cualquier libro 😃.
