Holy Week in Margarita
Hello everyone in this wonderful community! I hope you're all doing well and having a spectacular Easter, just like mine is—a week full of activities and enjoyment. This time, I want to share with you about a girls' night out at "Azotea Gastrobar" on Aldonza Manrique Avenue on Margarita Island.
Hola a todos en esta maravillosa comunidad, espero se encuentren muy bien y estén pasando una Semana Santa espectacular así como va la mía, una semana llena de actividades y de disfrute. Esta vez les quiero compartir sobre una noche de chicas visitando "Azotea Gastrobar" en la Avenida Aldonza Manrique de la Isla de Margarita.
This avenue is very famous because it's packed with shops, hotels, restaurants, malls, and nightclubs, and is considered the epicenter of Margarita's nights. Here you can find many places to eat and have a drink before hitting the club, but there are also family-friendly places with a wide variety. Mariel, Marly, Mariam, and I decided to check out "Azotea Gastrobar."
Esta avenida es muy famosa porque está repleta de locales comerciales, tiendas, hoteles, restaurantes, centros comerciales, locales nocturnos y se considera el epicentro de las noches Margariteñas. Aquí puedes encontrar muchos sitios para comer y tomar algo antes de ir a la discoteca, pero también hay lugares familiares y con muchísima variedad. Mariel, Marly, Mariam y yo decidimos conocer "Azotea Gastrobar".
We weren't looking for a place to eat because it was quite early, we just wanted to hang out with some beers and chat since we don't see each other that often, but the main menu seemed pretty good compared to other prices on the same avenue. The place has a very different atmosphere than others we've visited; the neon colors predominate throughout the place and make it look a bit street-like, so to speak, or so it seemed to me.
No buscábamos un sitio para comer porque era muy temprano, solo queríamos pasar el rato con unas cervezas y conversar porque no nos vemos tan seguido, pero el menú principal me pareció bastante bueno en relación a otros precios de la misma avenida. El lugar tiene un ambiente bastante diferente a otros que hemos visitado, los colores neón predominan en todo el lugar y hace que se vea un poco callejero por así decirlo, o eso me pareció a mí.
Going up the stairs, we took the opportunity to take some fun and different photos. The entrance is up these stairs and then you enter a larger space with an air-conditioned atmosphere, a bar, and several tables. There's a DJ playing music, mostly merengues, and at the end of the room there's an open-air space, but it was full, so we sat near the bar to be able to order more easily.
Subiendo las escaleras aprovechamos de tomarnos algunas fotos divertidas y diferentes, la entrada es subiendo esta escalera y luego entras a un espacio más grande con ambiente en aire acondicionado, una barra y varias mesas. Hay un DJ colocando música sobre todo merengues, y al final del salón hay un espacio al aire libre pero estaba lleno así que nos ubicamos cerca de la barra para poder pedir con más facilidad.
They have a wide variety of cocktails and drinks, and their prices aren't excessive, but my cousins aren't adventurous at all, so we settle for traditional, run-of-the-mill beers. Once, we didn't like some cocktails at another place, and well, that bad experience left a lasting impression on us, hehe. So we're careful when trying new drinks.
Tienen gran variedad en cócteles y tragos, sus precios tampoco son exagerados pero mis primas no son nada aventureras y nos conformamos con cervezas tradicionales, comunes y corrientes. Una vez nos cayeron mal unos cócteles en otro lugar y bueno, esa mala experiencia nos marcó para siempre jeje, así que somos cuidadosas a la hora de probar tragos nuevos.
To my surprise, the person in charge of this place is a friend I hadn't seen in over 10 years. It was a nice surprise, and we had a great time talking and catching up on each other's lives. Carlos is very special, and being able to meet him and reconnect with him was the icing on the cake that night. We took a photo to update the old ones we have.
Para mi sorpresa el encargado de este lugar es un amigo que hace más de 10 años no veía, fue una bonita sorpresa y pasamos un buen rato hablando y poniéndonos al día con nuestras vidas, Carlos es muy especial y poder encontrarlo y volver a tener contacto con el fue la cereza del pastel esa noche. Nos tomamos una foto para actualizar las viejas que tenemos.
Obviously, she offered us a round of beers on the house and so we stayed settled in Azotea Gastrobar for the rest of the night, chatting, talking, laughing and enjoying the musical atmosphere of this cool place to spend time with friends.
Obviamente nos brindó una ronda de cervezas cortesía de la casa y así nos quedamos instaladas en Azotea Gastrobar el resto de la noche, conversamos, hablamos, nos reímos y disfrutamos del ambiente musical de este lugar tan chévere para pasar un rato entre amigas.
Holy Week in Margarita is one of the best in Venezuela. Living in this paradise is a great fortune, and being able to enjoy all its spaces, places, and atmospheres with my friends just for one night is one of the best plans I've had so far. La Semana Santa en Margarita es de las mejores en Venezuela, vivir en este paraíso es una gran fortuna y poder disfrutar de todos sus espacios, lugares y ambientes junto a mis amigas solas por una noche es de los mejores planes que he tenido hasta ahora.
