Aunque soy de las que le gusta ver las vitrinas y las casas adornadas con navidad, en mi casa solo coloco lo básico: el arbolito pequeño y minimalista y a partir de este año un pesebre que hice con material de provecho, que luego pasó a ser un organizador, por lo que estará ahí todo el año, ya que me resultó bastante práctico.
Sin embargo, muchas personas (sobre todo las amantes de la época decembrina) suelen dejar todo el decorado durante mucho tiempo más luego del año nuevo.
En Argentina, algunos decoran el 8 de diciembre y el 8 de enero guardan todo hasta que pasen los 12 meses respectivos. En mi país, Venezuela, la cosa es más extrema. Desde octubre o noviembre se coloca todo y termina el 2 de febrero con la celebración del día de la virgen de la Candelaria.
Yo, aunque vivo en Argentina y soy venezolana, coloco la navidad cuando puedo antes del 24 y ya el 2 de enero me empieza a picar la mano para guardar lo poco que está en exhibición. Para mis hijos colocar los adornos es solo para que lleguen los regalos, así que por ellos no tengo inconvenientes, salvo el hecho de que no quieren ayudar a desmontar los adornos y las luces cuando toca.
Pero justo a la fecha, veo que muchos negocios todavía tienen decoraciones alusivas a la navidad. Quizás no en grandes cantidades, pero son vestigios de los adornos que fueron protagonistas hace menos de un mes. Y no con la finalidad de venderlos, más bien como un recuerdo silencioso de los días alegres y ruidosos de diciembre.
Ahora bien, muchos quizás opinen que soy el Grinch (y la verdad les informo que si soy) pero ¿es necesario dejar tanto adorno? la navidad, entendida desde otro punto de vista que me gusta más está en el modo en cómo vivimos esos días y para eso podemos hacerlo todo el año, sin gorritos ni luces encendidas que luego lamentamos cuando llega el recibo de electricidad a fin de mes.
Por eso les pido instruyan a este pobre Grinch latinoamericano y respóndanme ¿hasta cuando se deben dejar los adornos?
