We were to have our P.E. finals to-day, and our performance was doxology. Well, the first thing that we heard about it, I was already nervous and fatigued. Our teachers provided us with so many activities not only during P.E but also the other subjects. At times there would be days when I felt tired and was looking forward to go to bed but we still had to practice and complete everything punctually.
Our doxology needed hard work, concentration and coordination. Our steps were drilled over and over. There were other times we were wrong, other times we forgot the time and other times our bodies could not just move because they were too tired. But we never gave up even in the face of all those struggles. We motivated one another and urged ourselves on the reasoning why we had to do our best.
The fact that it had to be balanced between practice and school work made it even more difficult. On a day of classes that were sometimes long we had to rehearse. I was so fatigued in my body and pained in my feet, yet I continued. I also got to know that we do not know how physically fit we are at times until we challenge ourselves.
At last there was the day of our performance. I felt shy but on the other hand I was excited. Everything seemed to be worth it when the music was on and we were doxologizing. We tried our level best and I could notice the effort of each and every one. It was not ideal, but beautiful and significant.
When it was finally over, I could have been so glad. We survived! It was an excellent performance and I was happy with myself and my class mates. It was all worth the exhaustion, stress and labor.
This experience made me understand that it really does have an impact on hard work and teamwork. It is so good to complete something, although when one is tired, it feels great. It was a reminder to me today that in life, a challenge can become tough, and it can also make us better.
