Como buena amante de la navidad me gusta decorar la casa para esta época y un árbol de navidad es algo que no me puede faltar. Hace poco compré mi primer arbolito (aquí en Brasil) la, así que este año la navidad en casa fue diferente.
As a true Christmas lover, I enjoy decorating the house for the holidays, and a Christmas tree is a must. I recently bought my first tree (here in Brazil), so this year Christmas at home was different.
Luego de tener en mano mi árbol y los adornos esperé a mi día libre para poder armarlo y decorarlo con calma. El árbol es de 2.1 metros de altura y esta compuesto por 3 partes que se unen una con otra hasta darle su forma y altura.
After getting my tree and decorations, I waited for my day off to assemble and decorate it at my leisure. The tree is 2.1 meters tall and is made up of three parts that fit together to give it its shape and height.
Por supuesto también incluía su base para sostener en el suelo, la cual es muy fácil de instalar. Por ser un árbol nuevo trajo un papel con las instrucciones de armado en su caja y luego de definir cada pieza comencé a armarlo.
Of course, it also included its base for standing on the ground, which was very easy to install. Since it was a new tree, it came with assembly instructions in the box, and after identifying each piece, I began to put it together.
Lo primero que hice fue unir la pieza de abajo a la base para que se sostuviera. Luego coloqué la pieza siguiente (la del medio del árbol) y por último la pieza de la punta. Una vez que estaban todas las piezas en su lugar procedí a abrir las ramas una por una hasta darle la forma a mi árbol.
The first thing I did was attach the bottom piece to the base so it would stand upright. Then I placed the next piece (the middle one of the tree) and finally the top piece. Once all the pieces were in place, I proceeded to open up the branches one by one until I gave my tree its shape.
En este punto no solo tenía ya su forma sino que también se veía bastante lindo a pesar de no tener ningún adorno, pues, el hecho de ser nuevo hacia la diferencia.
At this point, it not only had its shape but also looked quite nice despite not having any decorations; the fact that it was new made all the difference.
Lo primero que le coloqué fueron las extensiones de luces led, decidí usar luces de color blanco cálido porque sentí que combinaría más.
The first thing I added were the LED light extensions. I decided to use warm white lights because I felt they would match better.
Luego de las luces procedí a colocar las esferas, compré 2 docenas, una de color dorado y otra de color rojo, mis colores favoritos cuando se trata de adornos navideños.
After putting up the lights, I proceeded to place the ornaments. I bought two dozen, one dozen gold and one dozen red, my favorite colors when it comes to Christmas decorations.
Seguidamente coloqué el resto de los adornos, que se trata de un kit de 20 piezas variadas de 3 modelos entre lazos rojos, pequeños regalos y piñas navideñas. Para mi sorpresa los adornos a pesar de ser pequeños y el árbol muy grande estos lucieron bien y se logran notar.
Next, I placed the rest of the decorations, a kit of 20 assorted pieces in 3 different styles, including red ribbons, small gifts, and pinecones. To my surprise, despite being small and the tree quite large, the decorations looked good and were noticeable.
Mis adornos favoritos del árbol fueron un par de letras elaboradas en MDF que son nuestras iniciales decoradas con temática navideña.
My favorite tree ornaments were a pair of letters made of MDF that are our initials decorated with a Christmas theme.
Como último adorno coloqué una linda estrella dorada en la punta del árbol, que también lució hermosa en conjunto con el resto de los adornos.
As a final touch, I placed a pretty golden star at the top of the tree, which also looked beautiful alongside the rest of the decorations.
El toque final para decorar mí árbol fue el tapete, el cual compré de color rojo con bordes dorados y un lindo estampado que dice Ho Ho Ho.
The finishing touch to decorate my tree was the rug, which I bought in red with gold edges and a cute print that says Ho Ho Ho.
El resultado de mi árbol me encantó, quedó mucho más lindo de lo que imaginé y aunque los adornos fueron pocos y pequeños decoraron muy bien y son muy vistosos.
I loved the result of my tree; it turned out much prettier than I imagined, and although the ornaments were few and small, they decorated it very well and are very eye-catching.
