Como ya es costumbre desde inicios de año, no pude faltar a mi reunión mensual con las chicas del club de lectura. La temática para este mes tenía que ver con el Día Internacional de la Mujer, así que nuestra lectura estuvo enfocada hacia este tema. No te mentiré, el libro que escogimos estuvo bastante fuerte y jugó mucho con nuestras emociones y nos dejó mucho para reflexionar acerca de cómo es el trato hacia la mujer en otras partes del mundo.
La actividad que realizamos ese día digamos que contradecía en gran medida la vibra cruda y sin censura de nuestra lectura, pero ¿qué podíamos hacer? Simplemente teníamos que hacer algo mientras hablábamos del libro. Y ahora, aquí es donde les puedo decir que esta ha sido la peor actividad que hemos escogido pues quedó más que comprado que la mayoría de nosotras carece de algo llamado paciencia. Los legos miniaturita pusieron en tela de juicio nuestra capacidad de atención y el control de la calma. Algunas lograron armar su LEGO dragón, pero otras simplemente elegimos dejarlo como tarea para nuestro hogar. También jugamos un poco de pictonary obviamente con temáticas de lectura, y aquí fue donde nos reímos hasta más no poder.
Sin duda, estas reuniones mensuales con mis niñas lectoras me hacen tan feliz y me suman unos 10 años más de vida 💜

I really felt like this month lasted forever, but that’s because so much happened. Basically, I feel like I lived three lives in one this month, but I don’t see that as entirely negative because, even though I do feel a little overwhelmed by all the emotional ups and downs, March was a wonderful month that gave me so many great moments with incredible people.
As has been the custom since the beginning of the year, I couldn’t miss my monthly meeting with the girls from the book club. This month’s theme was related to International Women’s Day, so our reading focused on that topic. I won’t lie to you—the book we chose was pretty intense; it really played with our emotions and gave us a lot to reflect on regarding how women are treated in other parts of the world.
The activity we did that day was, let’s just say, a far cry from the raw, uncensored vibe of our book club, but what could we do? We simply had to do something while we talked about the book. And now, this is where I can tell you that this was the worst activity we’ve ever chosen, because it became abundantly clear that most of us lack something called patience. The tiny LEGO bricks put our attention spans and ability to stay calm to the test. Some managed to build their LEGO dragon, but others simply chose to leave it as homework. We also played a little Pictionary, obviously with reading themes, and that’s where we laughed until we couldn’t laugh anymore.
Without a doubt, these monthly meetings with my little readers make me so happy and add about 10 more years to my life 💜
