In our state Zulia, specifically in municipalities such as Cabimas, Lagunillas and Baralt, towards the end of the year 2025, they were shaken by strong seismic movements that caused anguish in the population. The fear took hold of everyone, thanks to God, it never happened in serious situations.

The university decided to undertake a series of workshops for both staff and students, among the first aids in case of risky situations.

The simulation was carried out at normal class times, while teachers were in classes with students, in particular I was surprised by the activity because it was not far from planning.

Several teachers form part of the reserves of the municipal fire brigade, regardless of age, offering the opportunity to carry out the simulation with a personal bomber, and there are more than them to guide the process.

Several practices will be carried out before the simulation itself, providing information to students on what should be done in cases of earthquakes.

The first practice was a little disastrous, but after that you left the class for the real simulation, and there was more seriousness, order, and awareness of what to do.

Finally, guidance is given to do with children, people with possible hypertensive attacks, in short, everything that is recommended for these cases, which in Only it serves for events of this magnitude at the university, but that can happen an earthquake in our homes. It seemed like a great initiative to prevent it.

En nuestro estado Zulia, específicamente en municipios como Cabimas, Lagunillas y Baralt, para finales del año 2025, fueron estremecidos con fuertes movimientos sísmicos que causó angustia en la población. El miedo se apoderó de todos, gracias a Dios no pasaron situaciones de gravedad.

La universidad decidió emprender una serie de talleres tanto para el personal como para los estudiantes, entre ellos primeros auxilios en caso de situaciones de riesgo.

El simulacro se realizó en horarios normales de clases, mientras los docentes estábamos en aulas con los estudiantes, en lo particular me sorprendió la actividad porque no estaba al tanto de la planificación.

Varios docentes forman parte de las reservas del cuerpo de bomberos del municipio, sin importar la edad, brindando la oportunidad de llevar a cabo el simulacro con personal bomberil, y quienes más que ellos para guiar el proceso.

Se realizaron varias prácticas antes del simulacro en sí, cuestión de darles información a los estudiantes de lo que se debe hacer en casos de terremotos.

Fue un poco desastrosa la primera práctica, pero ya después salí del aula para el simulacro real, y había más seriedad, orden, y conciencia de que hacer.

Finalmente, se orientó que hacer con heridos, personas con posibles ataques de hipertensión, en fin, todo lo que se recomienda para estos casos, que no solo sirve para eventos de ésta magnitud en la universidad, sino que pueda suceder el terremoto en nuestras viviendas. Me pareció una buenísima iniciativa para prevenir.
