In my recent face-to-face meeting with the students of the 4 sections that I have assigned as a university teacher, not even the bad environmental weather stopped us ⛈️.
As I have told you previously, I work as a language and communication teacher 📣 at a public university in the country 🇻🇪. In the current semester, I was assigned an enrollment of almost 160 students, which makes it quite difficult for me to see them all in person, the only time I attend in the month.
<div class="text-justify"Students must attend in the morning shift, therefore the day I attend the meeting with them I attend to them in the morning schedule. In order to complete all the sections, in the first class I included two groups and the rest I attended by section. It is difficult to group sections when enrollment is high, and when the class is once a month, a large number of students usually attend.
The rain 🌠⛈️ for this day of classes, it almost didn't let me leave the house 🏡, however I couldn't miss my commitment, and so with the drizzle I took public transportation and after an hour and a half I arrived at the university. It was evident that due to the bad weather and the rain there were not many staff at the institution, much less students.
That did not prevent the first class from starting at 7:30 in the morning. Despite everything, the students were arriving, those who could not go in the first hours joined the following hours, and that allowed a significant enrollment to be attended.
This job has difficult circumstances, of course, no one forces me to be a teacher 🤓🧑🏫, it is more than my own decision.
The truth is that being able to fulfill my duty gives me great satisfaction, and it is not exactly in my pocket, it is something more moral, of principles, because perhaps some teachers do not comply due to economic conditions, others due to lack of vocation, others due to disappointment, in short, there are many causes, but since I am me, I do my best.
I cannot continually attend the university, because it is a distant place, however I do not lose contact with my students via telegram or WhatsApp, because that way I keep them active and also I encourage them to carry out their activities as part of the subject program, for their own good.
No one said it would be easy, but as long as the situation can be managed, the circumstances can be controlled, faith does not diminish, hope is maintained and the vocation accompanies me I will continue to fulfill my role as a university teacher to the best of my ability.

En mi reciente encuentro presencial con los estudiantes de las 4 secciones que tengo asignadas como docente universitario, no nos detuvo ni el mal tiempo ambiental ⛈️.
Como les he comentado anteriormente me desempeño como profesora de lenguaje y comunicación 📣 en una universidad pública del país 🇻🇪. En el semestre que va corriendo, me asignaron una matrícula de casi 160 estudiantes, lo que me complica bastante verlos a todos de manera presencial, la unica vez que asisto en el mes.
<div class="text-justify"Los estudiantes deben asistir en el turno matutino, por lo tanto el día que asisto al encuentro con ellos los atiendo en el horario de la mañana. Para poder cumplir con todas las secciones, en la primera clase incluí dos grupos y el resto las atendí por sección. Es difícil agrupar secciones cuando la matrícula es alta, y cuando la clase es una vez al mes, por lo general va un gran número de estudiantes.
La lluvia 🌠⛈️ para éste día de clases, casi no me deja salir de casa 🏡, sin embargo no podía faltar a mi compromiso, y así con la llovizna agarre el transporte público y después de hora y media llegué a la universidad. Era evidente que por el mal tiempo y la lluvia no había mucho personal de la institución, menos estudiantes.
Eso no impidió que a las 7:30 de la mañana comenzará la primera clase. Los estudiantes a pesar de todo fueron llegando, los que no pudieron ir en las primeras horas se unieron a las siguientes, y eso permitió que una importante matrícula fuera atendida.
Éste trabajo tiene circunstancias difíciles, claro, nadie me obliga a ser docente 🤓🧑🏫, es una decisión más que propia.
Lo cierto es que poder cumplir con el deber me genera una gran satisfacción, y no es precisamente en el bolsillo, es algo más moral, de principios, porque quizás algunos docentes no cumplen por las condiciones economicas, otros por falta de vocación, otros por decepción, en fin, son muchas las causas, pero como yo soy yo, hago mi mayor esfuerzo.
No puedo asistir continuamente a la universidad, porque es un lugar distante, sin embargo no pierdo el contacto con mis estudiantes vía telegram o WhatsApp, porque de esa manera los mantengo activos y también los motivo a que cumplan con sus actividades como parte del programa de la asignatura, por su bien.
Nadie dijo que seria fácil, pero mientras se pueda manejar la situación, las circunstancias se puedan controlar, la fe no baje, la esperanza se mantenga y la vocación me acompañe seguiré cumpliendo con mi papel de docente universitario lo mejor que puedo.
