He tenido días bastantes colapsados en la universidad ya que me encuentro en el último año académico de la carrera, por ende los grados de exigencia son mayores debido a que debemos realizar otros tratamientos, que en años anteriores nunca habíamos realizado, como prótesis parcial removible, prótesis total bimaxilar, incluyendo en el último semestre una prótesis fija, cabe destacar que a veces hay factores que no podemos controlar que no dependen de nosotros a pesar de que tengamos todas las ganas y la voluntad de hacer lo posible y lograrlo

En diciembre del año pasado comencé a atender a mi paciente de prótesis parcial, la misma solamente tenía aproximadamente cuatro dientes para restaurar, por lo que me resultaría muy fácil poder rehabilitarla por completo para luego comenzar con la prótesis, luego se metieron las vacaciones decembrinas llegó a enero y pude terminar de hacer el procedimiento que faltaba para luego comenzar la toma de impresión de la prótesis parcial removible, la prótesis tiene un sin fín de pasos y procedimientos que hay que seguir rigurosamente para que la prótesis pueda quedar bien adaptada.

Una vez que he terminado de realizarle todos los procedimientos a mi paciente tomé la impresión preliminar de la prótesis parcial, con alginato siliconado esta se encarga de ser una impresión en la cual vamos a hacer una copia negativa de todos los dientes en boca garantizando lo que se puedan copiar cada una de las estructuras, que están presentes en la cavidad bucal así como también realizar posteriormente el vaciado con yeso para estudiar mejor el modelo de estudio y poder así discutir.

Cabe resaltar que este tema particularmente en este procedimiento es bastante extenso, por lo que tuve un fin de semana completo tratando de diseñar la prótesis de mejor manera para mi paciente, por lo que me dediqué arduamente en hacer dibujos elegir los mejores conectores mayores y menores, para que la prótesis pueda tener soporte estabilidad y retención, una vez que tuve todo mi fin de semana pude terminar el diseño de mi prótesis superior e inferior y luego el lunes en guardia pude discutir el caso clínico de mi paciente, el diseño protésico así como también la fotografías intraorales y extraorales.

Pude iniciar con el procedimiento de la prótesis pero cabe destacar que no tenía un punto bien claro, por lo que primero tomé mi impresión funcional con silicona la cual es un material de impresión bastante costoso, la llevé al laboratorio una vez que estaba hecha y se pudieron percatar que no había tallado mis apoyos por lo que al día siguiente tuve que meterme en guardia tallar mis apoyos, luego volver a tomar la impresión funcional por lo que ese material se desperdició luego ese mismo martes por la tarde recibí una mala noticia por el técnico de laboratorio habian dañado mi presión funcional.

Por lo por lo que ellos tuvieron que volver a tomar esta impresión pero con otro tipo de material se comenzaban cada uno de los problemas con laboratorio en la facultad nos exigen que cada uno de los estudiantes debe hacer la prótesis en laboratorio pero debido a que poseen pocos técnicos colapsan, no cumplen de manera responsable con cada uno de los trabajos a entregar, estuve más de tres semanas retrasándome en guardia para la instalación de mi prótesis, debido a que mi prótesis parcial posee estructura metálica y esta se tarda tiempo de confeccionar.

Estuve varias semanas pegada en laboratorio preguntando que cuando estaría lista mi estructura metálica hasta que el día lunes me la pudieron mostrar gracias a Dios y la misma ya estaba colada, pero no estaba pulida por lo que esa guardia del lunes no puede entrar pero pude adelantar algo, una vez pulida mi estructura metálica pude colocar la prótesis en la boca de mi paciente a ver si ajustaba de buena manera y también percatarme o elegir el color de los dientes de mi paciente el cual era 77.

I was several weeks stuck in the laboratory asking when my metal structure would be ready until Monday I could show it to me thank God and it was already cast, but it was not polished so that guard on Monday can not enter but I could advance something, once polished my metal structure I could place the prosthesis in the mouth of my patient to see if it fit well and also notice or choose the color of the teeth of my patient which was 77.

Por último me sentía realmente feliz porque el día siguiente pude entrar a Guardia ya que la estructura metálica estaba totalmente terminada junto con los rodetes de cera para tomar mis registros intermaxilares, falta pocas sesiones para que la prótesis pueda ser instalada y ahí es como podemos ver el resultado de todo el esfuerzo que se hace para poder lograr los objetivos en mi carrera.

Finally I was really happy because the next day I was able to enter Guardia since the metal structure was completely finished along with the wax impellers to take my intermaxillary records, a few sessions are missing so that the prosthesis can be installed and that is how we can see the result of all the effort made to achieve the goals in my career.
