Warm greetings to all my dear friends in this wonderful Lifestyle community on this beautiful Saturday. It is my pleasure to greet you on this lovely day. I would like to share with you the wonderful Oral Surgery conference I attended.
En el marco del Cirujano Bucal y maxilofacial tuve la oportunidad de asistir a una conferencia de actualización para profundizar, conocer aún más de la cirugía bucal para así mejorar en la práctica clínica, primeramente me desperté bastante temprano mi papá me llevó hacia la facultad puesto que esta conferencia sería en el auditorio Angel Lasala, luego de bajarme en el carro vi la hermosa Plazoleta me hizo reencontrarme con todo eso que un día fui los recuerdos hermosos que no tenían límite.
As part of my training as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, I had the opportunity to attend a refresher course to deepen my knowledge of oral surgery and improve my clinical practice. I woke up quite early and my dad drove me to the university, as the course was being held in the Ángel Lasala auditorium. After getting out of the car, I saw the beautiful Plazoleta, which made me reconnect with everything I once was, the beautiful memories that had no limits.
Estas conferencias fueron 10, por lo que tenían como nombres perspectivas, actules, futuras de la cirugía bucal y maxilofacial, como desde distintos temas complejos podemos abordar la cirugía bucal, teniendo en cuenta los parámetros totalmente actualizados que expresa la evidencia científica, al ser una ciencia debemos basarnos en la investigación ciertamente la literatura es nuestro gran recurso para poder conocer y profundizar, como también poder aprovechar esos estos espacios para poder acrecentar nuestros conocimientos.
There were 10 lectures, and they were named perspectives, current issues, and future issues in oral and maxillofacial surgery. We can address oral surgery from different complex angles, taking into account the fully updated parameters expressed by scientific evidence. As it is a science, we must base ourselves on research; literature is certainly our great resource for learning and deepening our knowledge, as well as being able to take advantage of these spaces to increase our knowledge.
Primeramente iniciamos conociendo el tema lo que debemos saber de la tomografía y cuando pedirla realmente de interés este tema, ya que la tomografía nos permite profundizar aún más, ya que muchas veces necesitamos otras perspectivas para poder profundizar de una mayor manera la disposición anatómicas de las raíces de las famosas muelas de juicio así como la ubicación en la que viene, esto conlleva a minimizar los riesgos de complicaciones y así orientar el plan de tratamiento, después vino un tema bastante interesante que hablaba de la relación de la cirugía bucal con otras áreas y la delimitación que tiene esta con la cirugía maxilofacial.
First, we began by learning about what we need to know about tomography and when to request it. This topic is really interesting, since tomography allows us to go even deeper, as we often need other perspectives to be able to better understand the anatomical arrangement of the roots of the famous wisdom teeth, as well as their location. This minimises the risk of complications and helps guide the treatment plan. Next, we discussed a very interesting topic: the relationship between oral surgery and other areas, and how it differs from maxillofacial surgery.
Luego un tema que me gustó mucho que hablaba de esos traumatismo dentales o casos clínicos del hospital universitario de Maracaibo, sin duda alguna fue de gran interés como abordarón cada uno de esos temas y que también como odontólogo estamos en la necesidad de aprender, poder abordar en una primera instancia para así referirlo con el especialista, el tema que más me gustó como el del doctor Enmanuel Parra, este se llama la cavidad bucal como bioindicador: Detencción de las patologías sistemicas ocultas, como la cavidad bucal nos puede orientar hacia otras enfermedades sistemas identificando así los signos clínica de la cavidad bucal, ame este tema sin duda.
Then there was a topic that I really liked, which discussed dental trauma and clinical cases at the Maracaibo University Hospital. It was undoubtedly very interesting to see how each of these topics was addressed, and as dentists, we also need to learn how to deal with them in the first instance so that we can refer them to a specialist. The topic I liked the most was the one presented by Dr. Enmanuel Parra, called "The oral cavity as a bioindicator: Detection of hidden systemic pathologies." How the oral cavity can guide us towards other systemic diseases by identifying the clinical signs of the oral cavity. I definitely loved this topic.
Por último tuvimos muchos temas más interesantes, sin duda fue bastante interesante aprender con odontólogos de más alto calibre ya que la sociedad Zuliana de Cirugía Bucal y Maxilofacial, es realmente la mejor de nuestro país, también la que posee mayor cantidad de cirujanos es de referencia que la mayoría de ellos son graduados de la universidad del Zulia y que también son referencia a nivel nacional e internacional por todos sus artículos científicos, por último realizarón un sorteo y yo fui la feliz ganadora de una turbina dental.
Finally, we had many more interesting topics. It was certainly very interesting to learn from such high-calibre dentists, as the Zuliana Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is truly the best in our country. It also has the largest number of surgeons, most of whom are graduates of the University of Zulia and are also nationally and internationally renowned for their scientific articles. Finally, they held a raffle, and I was the lucky winner of a dental turbine.
