Estuve caminando por la calle Carabobo de la ciudad de mira de Maracaibo junto con mi hermano y me encontre con el único museo de arte sacro de mi localidad que también recibe el nombre de Museo Arquidiocesano, esperamos que nos abrieran ya que ibamos a ingresar por la parte de atrás, al ser un museo arquidiocesano se encuentran piezas totalmente antiguas e historicas, nunca particularmente había visto este lugar tampoco sabía que existía, sino es por el policia del Palacio Legislativo que me dijo que estaba llegando la directora del museo que podía entrar a este lugar a conocer la silla en donde estivo sentado San Juan Pablo Segundo entre junto con mi hermano.
I was walking along Carabobo Street in the Mira district of Maracaibo with my brother when I came across the only museum of sacred art in my area, also known as the Archdiocesan Museum. We waited for them to open up as we were going to enter through the back. Being an archdiocesan museum, it houses truly ancient and historic pieces. I had never actually seen this place before, nor did I know it existed, had it not been for the police officer at the Legislative Palace who told me that the museum director was on her way and that I could go inside to see the chair where Saint John Paul II had sat; so I went in with my brother.
El museo de arte sacro tiene una fachada netamente colonial con ventanas de madera enrejadas, con puertas estrechas largas y alargadas, fantásticas sin duda alguna me fascino por completo su color amarillo vibrante, la profesora es Egle Ahumada, es la directora encargada de el museo de arte sacro y ella fue la responsable de darnos un recorrido bastante fascinante, detallado de cada uno de los ornamentos que se encuentran presentes en cada una de sus salones cabe destacar que estos son infinitos, pero que, incluyen una historia de completa fascinación.
The Museum of Sacred Art has a distinctly colonial façade with wooden lattice windows and long, narrow doors; it’s absolutely stunning. I was completely captivated by its vibrant yellow colour. The guide is Egle Ahumada; she is the director in charge of the Museum of Sacred Art and she gave us a truly fascinating tour, providing detailed explanations of each of the ornaments found in every room. It is worth noting that there are countless such ornaments, each telling a story of utter fascination.
Uno de los detalles que más me sorprendió del lugar es su gran techo en alturas este complentamente de madera, cabe destacar que estos son edificaciones antiguas del siglo pasado el techo alto permite que las casas tengan una temperatura bastante agradable, distribuyendose el frío por todos lados, sin duda alguna un lugar increíble de esos que cuentan un sin fin de viviencias, estaba el solideo del monseñor Roa Perez entre otras cosas como fotografías y pertenencia, este el particular muy recordados por todos por si gran aporte a la iglesia Marabina también existen una diversidad de gran cantidad de cuadros y obras artísticas de alto nivel.
One of the things that struck me most about the place is its high ceiling, made entirely of wood. It is worth noting that these are old buildings from the last century; the high ceiling helps to keep the houses at a very pleasant temperature, allowing the cool air to circulate throughout. It is, without a doubt, an incredible place, one of those that holds countless stories. Among other things, there was Monsignor Roa Pérez’s skullcap, as well as photographs and personal belongings. He is particularly well remembered by everyone for his great contribution to the Marabina Church. There is also a wide variety of high-quality paintings and works of art.
Me encanto mucho apreciar una copia exacta, de la replica del anterior altar de la catedral de Maracaibo, así como la silla Papal donde se sento su Santidad el Papa San Juan Pablo Segundo en su visita a Maracaibo en el año 1985, el papá estuvo sentado en esta silla, se encuentran juntamente dos esta era la que estaba cuando el papá celebró la Santa Eucaristía en la Ciudad Universitaria de Maracaibo, me encanto por completo este lugar.
I was absolutely delighted to see an exact replica of the former altar of Maracaibo Cathedral, as well as the papal chair where His Holiness Pope Saint John Paul II sat during his visit to Maracaibo in 1985; The Pope sat in this chair; the two are placed side by side. This was the one used when the Pope celebrated Holy Mass at the University City of Maracaibo. I absolutely loved this place.
Por último me encanto también el piso y sus hermosos detalles, el techo, las ventanas lo agradable y el viento agradable que entra, sin duda alguna tantos detalles de gran historia a lo largo de la Iglesia que sin duda alguna muchos de ellos han sido mejorados me encanto por completo este museo que tuve el gusto de visitar por primera vez, siento que este es un lugar muy hermoso que esya muy escondido y que la mayoría de las personas marabinas no saben que existen, me despido hasta una próxima oportunidad mis queridos amigos hasta pronto.
Finally, I also loved the floor and its beautiful details, the ceiling, the windows, the pleasant atmosphere and the lovely breeze that comes in. Without a doubt, there are so many details steeped in history throughout the church, many of which have undoubtedly been restored. I absolutely loved this museum, which I had the pleasure of visiting for the first time. I feel that this is a truly beautiful place that is still very hidden away, and that most people in Maracaibo don’t even know it exists. I bid you farewell until next time, my dear friends.
