Fundacultura se reinstauró en un nuevo espacio, específicamente frente a la Plaza Bolívar, en el antiguo cine Pichincha. Allí se recuperó la parte frontal y se convirtió en sala de exposición para el arte, la historia y el saber. Hace unos días asistí a una actividad interesante qué cautivó mis sentidos, una exhibición de pintura y escultura cuyos protagonistas fueron los estudiantes de UNEARTE, institución cuya sede está cerca de este recinto. Allí pude apreciar el talento de diversos jóvenes, algunos principiantes y otros avanzados, con dominio de diferentes técnicas.
Cuando estamos a punto de ingresar al recinto nos recibe la frase "Yo amo a Cumaná", junto con ella se observa un colorido y encantador mosaico que engalana la puerta. Disfruto de este tipo de actividades porque me encanta admirar las obras, pero no sólo había pinturas sino también una escultura realizada por Ligia Acuña, cuya pieza se encuentra en la zona central y recibe por título TA- HA-Li, está tallada directamente en piedra serpentina. Por supuesto que es una representación artística de un popular pez alargado cuya carne es muy apreciada en las costas orientales.
La artista y empleada de Fundacultura Yoseida Pérez nos sirvió de acompañante y aportó su conocimiento, fungió como guía al darnos algunas referencias sobre los artistas y sus obras, también abordamos otros temas de interés. Un dato importante es que la pieza que destaca en el centro de la exposición es una gran pintura de Antonio José de Sucre realizada por Keifeld Marcano, presidente de la institución. La técnica que usó fue acrílico sobre madera. Esta composición pictórica le hizo merecedor del premio 500 años.
Diego Cova, Andrés Rodríguez, Carlos Tenía, Eleudiscar Marcano, Cecilia Arraiz, Liz Rojas, Yoseida Pérez, Susej Rodríguez, Wilfredo Zerpa, Gabriel Colón, Nakary Acuña y Luis Herrera fueron los artistas seleccionados para exhibir sus obras en esta exposición. Me pude deleitar con la creatividad, capacidad imaginativa, estilo y diferentes técnicas (grafito, acrílico, pintura al frío, acuarela, mixta, marcadores, tinta sobre cartulina, carboncillo, creyones y trama). Me gusta apreciar estas exposiciones y más si las obras provienen de jóvenes que se están preparando de forma metódica y académica porque eso indica que existe interés por seguir el camino de nuestros grandes artistas y cultores.

Fundacultura was reinstated in a new space, specifically in front of Plaza Bolivar, in the old Pichincha cinema. There, the front part was recovered and turned into an exhibition hall for art, history and knowledge. A few days ago I attended an interesting activity that captivated my senses, an exhibition of painting and sculpture whose protagonists were the students of UNEARTE, an institution whose headquarters are near this venue. There I was able to appreciate the talent of several young people, some beginners and others advanced, with mastery of different techniques.
When we are about to enter the precinct we are greeted by the phrase "I love Cumaná", along with a colorful and charming mosaic that adorns the door. I enjoy this type of activities because I love to admire the works, but there were not only paintings but also a sculpture made by Ligia Acuña, whose piece is located in the central area and is called TA-HA-Li, it is carved directly in serpentine stone. Of course it is an artistic representation of a popular elongated fish whose meat is very appreciated in the eastern coasts.
The artist and employee of Fundacultura Yoseida Perez accompanied us and contributed with her knowledge, she served as a guide by giving us some references about the artists and their works, we also addressed other topics of interest.
