Warm greetings, Hivers! I’m writing to you today to share a personal reflection about those difficult and complex moments in life when we feel trapped by our problems and lacking in motivation.
Certainly, even though we try to maintain a positive attitude in the face of life's difficulties, it is undeniable that we often have to navigate through the darkest and gloomiest times. It would be ideal if we could get into a bubble that protects us from every unpleasant situation we may encounter along the way, but the truth is that not everything is always rosy. That darkness refers to so many things that hurt us and mark us negatively, such as physical and emotional pain, depression, betrayal, economic instability, etc. However, if we decide to remain stuck in these inconvenient situations instead of trying to move forward, they could get worse, since the mind is very powerful, and the more we think about and give in to negativity, the more difficult it will be to thrive.
It is necessary to get out of that trance somehow, and I am not saying it is easy, from my own experience I know it is not, but there is a popular expression that really catches my attention, which says that no evil lasts a thousand years, nor can anybody withstand it, meaning that with time everything passes.
Once we understand and accept that what is happening to us is part of life, we have to find a way to benefit from it, ask ourselves what we should learn from the whole situation, what is the moral of this episode we are going through, and that requires great resilience, the ability to adapt and overcome adverse situations and move forward with a positive mindset.
Not everything in life is black or gray; let's remember that life can have many colors, since the mere fact of waking up every day and being able to breathe is a new opportunity to do something meaningful with our lives, and if possible, also to impact other people for the better. Let's not get caught up in thoughts of defeat; we are beings capable of overcoming any obstacle that comes our way in life.
