My afternoon started off on a calm note. After a busy morning handling work, I decided it was time to take a break and eat. I sat down and enjoyed my meal slowly, letting the food settle in as I rested my body for a few minutes. It was one of those quiet moments where everything around felt still for a while—just me, the food, and a bit of peace.
After eating, I felt like having something cool and refreshing. That’s when I reached for some slices of juicy watermelon 🍉. The first bite was sweet and cold, just what I needed to fight the afternoon heat. Each piece hit the spot, making me feel recharged and ready to get back on my feet. There’s something special about watermelon on a warm afternoon—it cools you down and lifts your mood.
Once I was done, I cleaned up quickly, wiped my hands, and geared up to return to work. I grabbed my tools and headed straight to the site. The job wasn’t light. I had to continue breaking up slabs using the jackhammer and grinder, making way for cables to be buried properly. It was dusty and noisy work, but I stayed focused. With each strike of the jackhammer and every grind through concrete, I was making progress, inch by inch.
The sun was still high, but I kept a steady rhythm, pausing every now and then to wipe the sweat off my face. Even though the work was tough, there’s a kind of satisfaction that comes from seeing results with your own hands. By mid-afternoon, I had cleared out a good portion of the slab, and the space was nearly ready for pipe laying.

As the hours passed, I felt the weight of the day settling on my shoulders, but I didn’t let it slow me down. That short break earlier—with my meal and the watermelon—gave me just enough energy to keep going strong. I ended the afternoon proud of what I’d accomplished so far, knowing tomorrow I’d pick it up from where I left off, one slab at a time
