Over the past few years, I’ve been I have been on my own mental health journey, and I have been on the lookout for some recourses here on hive since I started thanks to being unemployed. Along the way, I’ve found that reading others’ stories and tips can really help even if not every idea works, some have made a real difference and while I’m not a mental health professional, I’ve found a few habits that genuinely help me feel better.
I started writing about mental health on Hive because I didn’t see many posts that felt personal or practical — and I figured, if I’m looking for that kind of content, maybe others are too.
# Why Mental Health Matters to Me
Mental health isn’t just about big diagnoses or therapy sessions — it’s about how we handle everyday life. For me hearing other people's stories and even tips some have helped me find ideas that have helped me (some have and some haven't)
It's all about trying them to see what works for you so I wanted to share them in case they help someone else too.
Why Hive Felt Like the Right Place
Hive is full of communities where people share their passions, struggles, and stories. I’ve seen posts about gaming, crypto, travel — but not much about mental wellness from a personal angle.
So, I decided to start posting here in the Lifestyle community, where everyday life and personal growth fit naturally (if it's the wrong place let me know so I can find the right community). My goal isn’t to preach or give advice — it’s just to share what’s worked for me and invite others to do the same.
What I Hope to Build
I want to create a space where people feel comfortable talking about stress, burnout, and the little wins that help us get through tough days. Whether it’s a breathing trick, a funny moment with your dog, or a ritual that helps you reset. Every little tip, story or bit of advice has the chance to help someone even if one person reads a post and feels a little less alone, then it’s worth it.
Thank you for reading and if you’ve ever thought about sharing your own mental health journey or even something you do to help ease stress, I’d love to hear it.
What made you start writing on Hive? Or What’s one habit that helps you feel more balanced?
