Hoy estoy muy feliz de escribir por primera vez en esta comunidad. Un espacio que hacía falta en esta plataforma desde hacía muchísimo tiempo para hablar sobre nuestro estilo de vida.

Este reto me ha puesto en perspectiva pues acabo de darme cuenta de que, desde hace dos meses, mi rutina de mañana es totalmente distinta a lo que fue durante los 12 meses anteriores. Estos cambios se deben básicamente a que pasé de trabajar 100% desde casa a un trabajo parcialmente presencial. Así que hoy les voy a hablar de una de esas mañanas en las que debo alistarme para salir de casa a trabajar :)
This challenge has put me in perspective as I just realized that, since two months ago, my morning routine is totally different from what it was during the previous 12 months. These changes are basically due to the fact that I went from working 100% from home to a partially face-to-face job. So today I'm going to tell you about one of those mornings when I have to get ready to leave the house for work :)
Soy muy dormilona, así que a duras penas logro despertarme luego de que la alarma de mi teléfono suena más de 10 veces. Efectivamente, soy ese tipo de persona que pospone la alarma una y otra vez hasta que ya es demasiado tarde.
I'm a very sleepyhead, so I barely manage to wake up after my phone alarm goes off more than 10 times. Indeed, I'm that kind of person who snoozes the alarm over and over again until it's too late.
Cuando finalmente me levanto de la cama mis perros ya han sentido que estoy despierta entonces empiezan a tocarme la puerta con sus paticas y a ladrar. Entre dormida y despierta salgo a saludarlos y a llenarlos de besos. Su felicidad, brincos y ladridos son mis mejores "Buenos días".🌞
When I finally get out of bed my dogs have already sensed that I'm awake so they start pawing at the door and barking. Between sleeping and waking I go out to greet them and shower them with kisses. Their happiness, prancing and barking are my best "Good morning."🌞
Les sirvo el desayuno a mis hijos perrunos y me preparo algo rápido de comer. No todos los días puedo comer tan variado y nutritivo como me gustaría pero lo intento y lo hago la mayor parte de los días, sobre todo cuando trabajo desde casa o los fines de semana.
I serve breakfast to my doggy kids and fix myself something quick to eat. Not every day I get to eat as varied and nutritious a meal as I would like but I try and do it most days, especially when I work from home or on weekends.
Cuando termino de comer los perros también han terminado su comida, entonces me visto con ropa deportiva y saco a Bruno a su primer paseo del día. Este paseo nos toma aproximadamente 20 minutos y es un momento que disfruto y que me ayuda a que mi cuerpo termine de despertarse.
When I finish eating the dogs have also finished their food, so I get dressed in sports clothes and take Bruno out for his first walk of the day. This walk takes us about 20 minutes and is a time I enjoy and helps my body finish waking up.
Al regresar a casa me ducho rápidamente. Como ya estoy a contrarreloj, me visto y maquillo lo más rápido que puedo. Desde que comencé a trabajar fuera de casa estoy disfrutando muchísimo escoger mis outfits de oficina, así que este momento me lo tomo en serio para combinarme de la mejor manera posible y de acuerdo a mi propio estilo.
Upon returning home, I take a quick shower. Since I'm already against the clock, I quickly get dressed and put on my makeup. Since I started working away from home I am really enjoying choosing my office outfits, so I take this moment seriously to combine myself in the best possible way and according to my own style.
A veces no me da tiempo maquillarme en las mañanas pero trato de hacerlo, pues estoy tomándome muy en serio eso de "arreglarme para ir a trabajar". Esto es algo que nunca antes había hecho pues anteriormente todos mis looks de trabajo eran en pijamas!! jajajaj 😆
Sometimes I don't have time to do my makeup in the mornings but I try to do it, as I am taking "getting ready for work" very seriously. This is something I've never done before as previously all my work looks were in pajamas!!! hahahahahah 😆.
Al rededor de las 8:20 a.m estoy saliendo de casa para tomar el transporte público. Este momento realmente lo disfruto porque voy sentada en el bus mirando todo lo que me rodea. Sinceramente, yo romantizo el transporte público... si en Caracas era sumamente feliz en el metro subterráneo imaginándome las vidas de las personas, créanme que en los autobuses tengo muchísimo más material para poner a trabajar mi imaginación.
At around 8:20am I'm leaving the house to take public transportation. This moment I really enjoy it because I'm sitting on the bus looking at everything around me. Honestly, I romanticize public transportation... if in Caracas I was extremely happy in the underground subway imagining people's lives, believe me that in the buses I have a lot more material to put my imagination to work.
Al llegar al trabajo me ocupo por las siguientes horas escribiendo, respondiendo correos o atendiendo llamadas , así que básicamente esa es mi rutina de mañana los días que debo trabajar en la oficina.
When I get to work I am busy for the next few hours writing, answering emails or taking calls, so basically that's my morning routine on the days I have to work in the office.
