Danzar con Alas: melodía de almas y tacones
Familia querida de LifeStyle, gracias por compartir y permitirme hacerlo con ustedes. Hoy quiero mostrarles la inauguración de un espacio artístico.
Pero antes, quiero comenzar esta publicación contándoles una historia.
Hace más de 7 años, caminábamos en famiglia por las calles de la Lisa de regreso a casa, sobre las 6 de la tarde.
Al llegar a la esquina de 51 y 160, nos extrañó que la galería Domingo Ravenet, estuviese abierta a esa hora. Se escuchaba música de David Visbal. Al imaginar una Inauguración expositiva, nos acercamos con toda intención. Dentro, un grupo de baile vestido de negro y compuesto por niñas, casi en su totalidad, se dedicaba a clases de danza. Lucía, apenas llegamos a la puerta y, con su extraversión característica, se abalanzó hacia el grupo; provocando risas en ellos y pena en los padres que intentaban en vano detenerla. Así fue como conocimos la Compañía de Danzas Españolas “Alas”.
Mi bailarina española

Tenía poco más de recién cumplidos los 3 añitos; nunca más salió de sus filas. Hace un par de meses mi bailarina española cumplió 11. El baile flamenco ha sido parte inseparable de su vida desde entonces, y yo, padre orgulloso. Más que de su desempeño artístico, que gracias a Dios ha sido fructífero y congruente en varias manifestaciones, me regodeo en mi interior de su valor, dedicación, empeño, compromiso, conciencia grupal…
Compartir con ella esta experiencia ha sido osada, como muchas de las acciones que realizamos, y difícil en presupuesto económico… Pero qué somos los padres, sino albaceas de ese inmenso tesoro en cuerpos pequeñines.
Alas
Nos unimos por completo a esta compañía que mantiene ambos perfiles a la vez: profesional y comunitario. En especial, la parte de los talleres, que realizan para todas las edades. Si lo deseas, estás a tiempo.
Ayer, en colaboración con el gobierno de Cultura del municipio La Lisa inauguraron su nuevo espacio. Así que, enhorabuena, un olé por las tablas y la inclusión.
Digo esto porque desde hace un par de años, abrieron el diapasón y conformaron una clase de Bailes populares. Y este septiembre, reabrieron el curso con otra clase de Ballet clásico.
Es una lástima que los niños no sean dados a esta expresión artística, en todos los grupos suman unos 4 ó 5 bailarines.
Para la inauguración se presentaron como embajadores a la gala tres niveles, desde las más pequeñitas hasta las mayores. Hubo de escucharse, por obligación al representante de Cultura con el discurso oficial. Se cortó la emblemática cinta en la entrada; seguido del brindis con sodas para los infantes y Sidra para los adultos.

Dancing with Wings: A Melody of Souls and Heels
Dear LifeStyle family, thank you for sharing and allowing me to share with you. Today I want to show you the opening of an art space.
But first, I want to start this post by telling you a story.
More than 7 years ago, we were walking home as a family through the streets of La Lisa around 6 p.m.
When we reached the corner of 51st and 160th Streets, we were surprised to find the Domingo Ravenet gallery open at that hour. Music by David Visbal was playing. Imagining an exhibition opening, we approached deliberately. Inside, a dance group dressed in black, made up almost entirely of girls, was giving dance classes. As soon as we reached the door, Lucía, with her characteristic extroversion, rushed toward the group, eliciting laughter from them and pity from the parents who tried in vain to stop her. That's how we met the Spanish Dance Company "Alas."

She was just over 3 years old; she never left their ranks again. A couple of months ago, my Spanish dancer turned 11. Flamenco dancing has been an inseparable part of her life ever since, and I, a proud father, am proud of her. More than her artistic performance, which thank God has been fruitful and consistent in various forms, I rejoice in her courage, dedication, determination, commitment, and group spirit...
Sharing this experience with her has been daring, like many of the actions we undertake, and difficult financially... But what are parents, if not the guardians of that immense treasure in little bodies?
Alas (Wings)
We fully joined this company, which maintains both profiles simultaneously: professional and community. Especially the workshops, which are offered for all ages. If you want to, there's still time.
Yesterday, in collaboration with the La Lisa Municipal Culture Department, they inaugurated their new space. So, congratulations! A big shout-out to the stage and inclusion.
I say this because a couple of years ago, they opened their doors and created a Folk Dance class. And this September, they reopened the class with another Classical Ballet class.
It's a shame children aren't given to this artistic expression; each group includes about 4 or 5 dancers.
For the inauguration, three levels were presented as ambassadors to the gala, from the youngest to the oldest. The official speech was obligatory, and the representative from the Culture Department had to be heard. The iconic ribbon was cut at the entrance, followed by a toast with soda for the children and cider for the adults.
