Wheels and Sea Salt: Sundays of Freedom at Playa El Agua
There’s no better way to wrap up the week than by swapping routine for the constant motion of skating along the seashore. What started as a simple curiosity has turned into my new favorite hobby: exploring Margarita Island on roller skates. This activity not only allows me to rediscover the landscapes of my home from a different perspective, but it has also become the perfect excuse to strengthen bonds with incredible friends.
Our tours have already taken us through different parts of the island, from the streets of Pampatar to the main avenues, but there’s something magnetic about Sundays on skates. It’s the day when the pace slows down, the traffic clears, and the sea breeze accompanies us with every push.
The Review: Gliding Among Palm Trees
This Sunday’s plan had an unbeatable setting: El Agua Beach. Meeting up there with the group of friends, adjusting our skates, and feeling that first glide across the pavement while listening to the waves in the background is a revitalizing experience.
The most fun part of skating in a group around the island is the shared energy. It’s not just about speed or technique, but about the laughter, the music playing in the background, and the strategic stops to hydrate and enjoy the scenery. At Playa El Agua, the route feels cinematic; the palm trees seem to fly by in fast motion, and the Sunday atmosphere provides that touch of relaxation we all need before the week begins.
