El día de hoy tuvimos la suerte de asistir al cumpleaños de una de las mejores amigas de mi hija, Sophia. Ella estaba súper emocionada y, de hecho, ayer salí a comprar su regalo. Aunque no soy muy amante de las piscinas, me tocaba ir; la verdad es que no me sentía tan bien de salud, pero la emoción de mi hija era más grande, por lo que decidimos asistir para cumplir y, sobre todo, para que ella disfrutara.
Today, we were lucky enough to attend the birthday party of one of my daughter Sophia's best friends. She was beyond excited; in fact, I went out yesterday to buy her friend's gift. Even though I’m not much of a pool person, I had to go. To be honest, I wasn’t feeling very well, but my daughter's excitement was more important, so we decided to go to be there for her friend and, above all, so she could enjoy herself.
La reunión empezaba a las 11:00 am, pero no pudimos llegar sino hasta las 2:00 pm Para ese momento, las demás niñas ya habían disfrutado bastante de la piscina, pero esto no fue impedimento para que mi hija se uniera a la diversión con ellas. Fue una reunión bastante sencilla, muy íntima y familiar.
The party started at 11:00 a.m., but we couldn't make it until 2:00 p.m. By then, the other girls had already spent a lot of time in the pool, but that didn't stop my daughter from joining in on the fun with them. It was a very simple gathering, very intimate and family-oriented.
Estuvimos allí un largo rato y, como siempre, en las piscinas hay que estar muy, muy atentos a nuestros hijos.
Sin duda, Sophia la pasó buenísimo.
We stayed there for quite a while and, as always when there’s a pool involved, you have to keep a very, very close eye on the kids. Without a doubt, Sophia had a blast.
Logramos quedarnos hasta el momento de cantar el cumpleaños y su mejor amiga también disfrutó un montón, además de que tiene una familia súper divertida. Fue una bonita tarde a pesar de mi predisposición por los malestares que aún sigo presentando; fue bueno salir, reírnos y distraernos un poquito.
We managed to stay until it was time to sing "Happy Birthday." Her best friend had a great time too, and her family is just so much fun. It was a lovely afternoon despite how I was feeling due to my ongoing health issues; it was good to get out, laugh, and clear our heads for a bit.
