Celebrar la vida es algo que me encanta y, por supuesto, los cumpleaños de mis hijos son muy especiales para mí. Por eso, meses antes de la fecha, comienzo a pensar en qué haré para hacerlos felices ese día, donde, por supuesto, su torta no puede faltar.
En esta oportunidad, celebro el cumpleaños de mi pequeño Diego, "la ternurita de mi vida", quien está cumpliendo 8 años. Desde luego, yo quería que fuese un día fabuloso para mi niño. Lo primero fue escoger con él cuál sería el motivo de elección de su torta de cumpleaños, algo que siempre hacemos. En base a eso, definimos la decoración y compro lo necesario para recrear esa idea.
Desde hace un tiempo me ha gustado celebrar los cumpleaños fuera de casa, en algún restaurante, algo íntimo. Pero en esta oportunidad, mi hijo quiso que fuese en casa con algunos invitados de su elección. Así que no quise negarme y lo hice como él quería.

This time, I am celebrating the birthday of my little Diego, “the sweetheart of my life”, who is turning 8 years old. Of course, I wanted it to be a fabulous day for my little boy. The first thing was to choose with him what would be the motif for his birthday cake, something we always do. Based on that, we defined the decoration and I bought what I needed to recreate that idea.
For some time now I have liked to celebrate birthdays away from home, in a restaurant, something intimate. But this time, my son wanted it to be at home with some guests of his choice. So I didn't want to refuse and I did it the way he wanted.
Luego de que me hiciera el dibujo de cómo quería la torta y escogiera cada muñeco de la decoración, puse manos a la obra. En esta oportunidad, la decoración de los globos fue multicolor y, por suerte, tuve ayuda para eso mientras yo me ocupaba de otras tareas.
Mi hijo estuvo de visita donde su prima y así aproveché para preparar todo y que, cuando llegara, estuviese listo. Lo cierto fue que la elaboración y decoración de la torta me quitó más tiempo del esperado y, aunque fueron sus amigos más íntimos, tuve que hacer varias tortas para que alcanzara.
Logré hacer la torta rectangular de tres leches como él la quería y, a su vez, la torta decorada con el videojuego de Roblox. Los que tengan niños me entenderán: constantemente crean nuevas películas y juegos y nuestros hijos se vuelven fans.

Ya el siguiente cumpleaños es el de Danielito, pero será finalizando el año. Con él espero que logre cumplir sus expectativas; ya veremos qué se me ocurre de aquí a allá, porque ya serían 16 años. Soy una mamá de tres hijos y cada uno tiene 7 años de diferencia del otro, así que manejarme en sus etapas ya se ha vuelto costumbre para mí.

Danielito's next birthday is coming up, but it will be at the end of the year. With him I hope I will be able to fulfill his expectations; we will see what I can come up with between now and then, because it will already be 16 years. I am a mother of three children and each one is 7 years older than the other, so managing myself in their stages has already become a habit for me.
